Re: A New Beginning - A Boston Shamrocks Fantasy Draft 'Chise
Hey, I changed my CAP around a little bit. Make him 6'5 at wideout or safety. :) Thanks, la paz.

Re: A New Beginning - A Boston Shamrocks Fantasy Draft 'Chise
hey, mind if i submit another CAP?
Name: Antwaan Hunter Position: OLB School (Division 1-AA or lower only): Grambling Number: 55 Bio: After playing safety in high school, Antwaan put on some muscle and was converted to linebacker as a true freshman at Grambling and has started there ever since. His speed allows him to roam the field and make plays. Ideal for sending on a blitz from the outside, as tackles will rarely be able to keep up with his acceleration around the corner, and should be able to bull rush some of the smaller backs in the league. While he excels in pass defense, he should work on stopping the run. |

Re: A New Beginning - A Boston Shamrocks Fantasy Draft 'Chise
![]() SPORTSCENTER UPDATE : I have just been told that the top players in the FBS sub-division of the NCAA have been receiving money from boosters. As a result, Myles Brand and I have made the controversial decision to suspend the ability to draft or sign any of the players that will declare for the NFL draft this year. You may be asking, "who will the teams draft then?" Well notice, I said that the FBS sub-division are the only ones involved. That means all incoming rookies will be drafted from the FCS, Division two and three ranks. Sure, that may mean that the rookies will make less of an impact, but there's no excuse for accepting money from boosters. : You bet Mort. Let's take a look at the top six small-school draft prospects that had a chance to have their names called on the second day, but now will be some of the first players taken next year. [shows highlight tape of A.J. Russell] : A.J. Russell, out of Harvard University, is a small quarterback coming out that is pretty mobile. His grades are a big plus in the NFL scouts eyes, as he had a 4.0 GPA at Harvard. This translates to pocket awareness in the big leagues, and I believe he would have been a 4th round draft pick, if it wasn't for the denial of FBS athletes. [shows highlight tape of Kevin Fox] : Kevin Fox, out of Southern University, is another prospect I thought would make an impact in the NFL, FBS athlete denial or not. He's a 6'5" receiver with outstanding speed and is loaded with potential. Although he does not have the best hands, drills can build up that skill. He could be the possible number one draft pick. [shows highlight tape of Leonard Lumpkin] : Leonard Lumpkin, out of Stony Brook University, is a big linebacker that isn't the smartest guy. Grades kept him out of the FBS schools and he's probably thanking the Lord that he isn't the brightest crayon in the box, otherwise he wouldn't have this chance to play in the NFL. He is a hard hitter; possibly hits harder than Ray Lewis. That's an accomplishment itself. [shows highlight tape of Sam Hadji] : Sam Hadji has been from the bottom to the top. He had a storied high school career, only to be cut short due to a blown out knee. As it was being reconstructed, Sam saw his FBS scholarship dreams be taken away. Enrolled at Division 2 Northwest Missouri State, Sam had an outstanding career. Although injury problems concern the scouts, Hadji is a fast receiver that will be a playmaker in this league. [shows highlight tape of Frankie Rodriguez III] : Here's a nice success story. Rodriguez, out of Grand Valley State, has said he will enter the draft after this year, his junior year. He has great coverage skills, but needs to hit better. He'll make a lot more money for his family down in Mexico now that he'll be a first-round pick. [shows highlight tape of Malcolm Hawkins] : Malcolm Hawkins, out of Saint Francis University in Pennsylvania, is a candidate now to be the number one pick in the draft. Viewed as a possible late first day pick before the FBS controversy because of his kick return skills, he'll also be some team's runningback of the future. He is very elusive, kind of like a Reggie Bush type, but doesn't read his holes well. That'll get better in time. So there you have it, my big board for the 2009 NFL Draft. We'll see if more players can get on here and I will give updates on the risers and fallers throughout the year.__________________ ![]() big ups to Macken for the sig, thanks bro.

Re: A New Beginning - A Boston Shamrocks Fantasy Draft 'Chise
Is it too late for a CAP, I just started (and finished) reading what's up so far for this 'chise. I'm totally loving it and I'll definitely keep following. It just seems a bit less suspenseful with the shamrocks going into every game as large favorites; I've always been more of a "build-from-the-ground-up-struggle-against-adversity" type of guy, but I like all the extra details you have. I miss the pictures though. If you get '09 the video highlight system would be amazing for your 'chises.

Dude, I love you, no homo. lol. Make sure to remember my guy's a senior. If I leave college before my senior year, I'll only be 19. :) Unless I was redshirted that first year. lol. I lit-up when I saw that, by the way. haha.
Mart, welcome to the site. Also, he said you can still make a guy, so you should go ahead and do that, man. La paz. |
