Eagles are coming to the Georgia Dome looking for the win against the Falcons. Last year in the NFC Championship the Eagles were clicking and beat the Falcons. the Falcons are looking for some payback this year and they think that this is their best chance for it.

Week 1
Eagles (0-0) at Falcons (0-0)

1st Quarter- Falcons win the toss and choose to recieve, Allen "Awesome" Rossum takes the ball from the 2 yard line down to the Falcon's 30 where Vick and company take over. They drive all the way downfeild calling the perfect plays to get to the 1 yard line
but their drive starts to stall as Warrick Dunn is stuffed on 1st and 2nd Down. Falcons line up on 3rd down when Vick calls a time out. He didnt like what he saw with the play they were going to run. So Greg Knapp the offensive Coordinator told Vick to fake to
Duckket and run in. He did to perfection. With Tod Peterson's kick sailing through the Falcons score early, 7-0.

The Eagles would go three and out on 2 pitches to Westbrook and an incomplete pass on 3rd and short. The Punt is fair caught by Rossum and the Falcons take over. They drive yet again down the feild to the 1 yard line when T.J. Duckket dives over the pile for the TD. Making the Falcons more comfortably on top 14-0

2nd Quater- Opens up with Eagles driving and into their kickers range when they get stopped and have to attempt the feild goal of 51 yards. Akers' kick sails through and the falcons take over.

The Falcons manage a quick three and out with a pass from vick to Brian Finneran only getting them 4 yards, Dunn getting stuffed, and a dropped pass by Romby Bryant who was signed from the practice squad earlier in the year.

Eagles take over and again drive down the feild for a feild goal, this time a 29 yarder

HALFTIME; Score Falcons-14, Eagles-6

On the way to the Locker Room Michael Vick had this to say about how they were playing so far, "We are playing good, but we need to step it up. Ive made some mistakes but Im gunna try and come through this half."

Jim Mora jr. also said that he planned to throw more in the secound half....Maybe he will regret that later.

3rd Quarter- Eagles got the ball after the half, looking to overcome the difference in the score. And they did, after a good return they drove the rest of the way downfeild by mainly from a 60 yard pass from McNabb to T.O. whos brought down by Hall on the 1 yard line
barley letting time tick away and McNabb ran it in on a play similar to Vick's first quarter score. Eagles go for it but to no luck...Score 14-12

Falcons take over and with only two plays, a run up the middle by Warrick Dunn and a pitch to Warrick Dunn, on 3rd and short Michael Vick Fakes to Dunn and rolls right, Throws a wobbly pass as he gets hit to Michael Jenkins. The pass is just begging to be
picked off and it appears as though Lito Shepperd will do so...BUT he couldnt hold on to it and its tipped backwards right into the hands of the intended receiver Michael Jenkins who takes it all the way 68 yards for the score. Making the Score 21-12.

Eagles take over and on the 3rd play of the drive, Reggie Brown burns Jason Webster for a 56 yard TD. Falcons still lead 21-19. The Quater Ends.

4th Quater-Falcons receive the kick off, Allen Rossum breaks 2 arm tackles right away then spins out of another and turns towards the touchdown running full speed
the crowd is going crazy, only visible person left to stop him is the kicker. Allen puts a killer Juke on him and looks to be home free but an Eagle has the perfect angle and stops him on the Eagle's 13 yard line. The falcons cant go anywhere and are forced to try the feild goal which they convert making the score now 24-19.

The Eagles take the feild looking for the much needed score. The first play is a beauty for them as McNabb drops back and completes the pass to T.O. for the first down. Deangelo Hall pounds the ground in frustration of giving up the first only the secound pass complete to T.O. Hall has been doing a good job of shutting down Terrell Owens. Eagles call a Screen pass to Reggie Brown, McNabb drops back and lets it fly...PICKED OFF! Jason Webster takes it the rest of the way for the 61 yard INT return. The Falcons take the lead by 12 with the score 31-19.

Eagles take over again after the Falcons score, still beleiving they can take the W. And they do put together a nice TD pass on a miss comunication by the Falcons leaving Darnerien McCants wide open for the score. 31-26

Falcons Recover the onsides kick and begin to run the clock out. When 3rd and long shows up and the Falcons still not satisfied with the time left on the clock they choose to Play Action pass. Vick rolls left and tosses up a pass to Brian Finner which gets batted down by Brian Dawkins. BUT on the play Vick is Drilled, Jeremiah Trotter Nails him in the Stomach and Vick flies back a good 4 yards. Hes down. The Trainers Rush out onto the Feild and Vick is carted Off. The Extent of the Injury is unknown.

Eagles take the Punt after the Injury and with hopes of scoring and taking the lead. They drive down to the Goal line and Pitch to Brian Westbrook to the right and he dives for the Endzone..POW! Keion Carpenter hits the ball out with his knee and 2nd year Vet. Demorrio Williams recovers on the 1 yard line. Falcons Ball.

The Falcons Back up QB, Matt Schaub comes out and the falcons successfuly run the clock out and take the win in a nail biting Victory.

Final Score-

Falcons-32
Eagles-26

Jim: I dont know. Next Question
Reporter: Are you concerned for the season if Mike is out for a long period of time?
