Everyone who says he made ****ty games knows nothing about the game development process or Ortiz as a person or what his role was at Tib.

I'm glad Phil Frazier is going back to madden. He did madden on ps2 and xbox. I wouldn't knock him for working on NFL Tour. That game sucks any way you slice it and so does Street. Frazier is a real cool guy though, he knows what the community wants.

Re: Madden producer David Ortiz leaves EA Tiburon
Yeah, tour isnt anything but madden animations with different graphics and no pads on... The madden games have not been perfect but they HAVE been getting better..I actually enjoy madden on the 360.cant really play the PS3 because of the FPS.I dont play online but I know about the Spec. Catcha and how over effective it is but they know that now and hopefully they tone it down a good bit

Re: Madden producer David Ortiz leaves EA Tiburon
Well this is good news if he can return this franchise back to the days of the Ps2 . When I actually enjoyed playing madden football. I dont think that everything that has happened should be put on Ortiz's back cause the real problem was that they rushed the **** out of Madden 06 next gen and that set them back for the upcoming years.
However in 3 years madden has not wow'd me at all other than graphic's so maybe this will get things back in order. __________________ ![]() BOTTOM OF THE 9TH 1-4 |

Re: Madden producer David Ortiz leaves EA Tiburon
According to the same topic I read on 1Up.com, it may be possible that he left due to the situation at the studio:
"Our inside sources tell us that Ortiz cited family reasons for his leaving, but we've also heard rumblings that he grew frustrated with the inner workings of the studio." Madden Lead Producer Leaves EA Tiburon news from 1UP.com If the latter is true, then there may be an issue at hand if it's not resolved. Madden disappointment is going to get worst before it gets better. They would have to pull out an EA NHL. Changing the lead producer followed with a change of personal in the development team, and boom. You get a franchise that's back on track and then some. The guys at EA Canada made a great hockey game this year. __________________ ![]() |

Sorry to break it to you but NHL hit the level that it did because they canceled the game in 06. Thats the main reason why it made the strides it did in two years time. |

Re: Madden producer David Ortiz leaves EA Tiburon
Im glad he's gone. Look at the stuff that didnt make it into the game three years in that has been in the old version and then look at the fact that something like weapons was put in the game. Not a very good job of prioritizing.
And then look at something like create a team and how you cant access the files of created teams. Essentially, you cant make changes. You have to recreate the team. Dumb. Very, very poor implementation. |
