Do DB's really ever bite on the pump fakes?

I've been trying to use it, to catch the D off guard, but it seems like the DB's just pay attention to the man until the ball actuall gets in the air. I've even tried it on that stop and go route out of the I-formation which you would think would be perfect for the pump fake but nothing seems to shake the DB's.
Anyone else actually seen the DB's bite on this move?

I can get it to work occassionally but the best way to do it is to set up the stop & go route out of the I-formation. First choose that play but instead call a hot route so your receiver will do a hook. Pass the ball to him and on the next play, call the same play again on this time do a pump fake and launch it deep. If that CB's AWR is not high, he'll bite on the pump fake. Just make sure you watch the safety over the top.

cool, I'll give that a shot.. Last night I did practice mode for an hour working on pump fakes as well as the lob pass, and I think I've got it down pretty good now

i think pump-faking tricks the d-linemen sometimes... like slows their rush, and gets them to jump, trying to bat the pass down

the game goes too fast to be sure about that, but i think this has happened a few times
