Go to your My Documents
Go to the Madden 2004 directory
Open the Madden.INI file
Scroll down until you get to: "Option Group:System Settings"
Check and see if "Hardware Shaders" is ON or OFF.
If its OFF, turn it ON and go see if there are dirty unis or any special effects...

Only do this if your vid card has pixel shaders.

I'll check that out when I get home. I bought a ATI 9800 Pro last night and I must say the game looks much better than on my 4200ti. It's like looking at a different game but still no dirty uni's. I'll check that option out when I get home.
