Well I call my local EB to see if they have Madden 2004 PC yet..

A young clerk answers the phone, and I ask him for Madden 2004 PC.

He tells me there are over 300 Preorders and I better come put my order in today cause tommorow it will be preorders only.

I then said I bet thats for PS2 what about PC

He tells me they stopped making Madden for PC due to lack of Sales :)

I then tell this kid that no they didn't and that it comes out on the 11th or 12th.

He then asks his boss who tells him yes they will get it tonight after they close, so i could pick it up in the moring

(NOW TO THE REAL GOOD PART)

I ask this KID if he knows alot about PC GAMES, he says yeah he knows eveything about PS2 and PC games and thats why he works at EB.

I then said do you remember Front Page Sports Football Pro?

Kid says yeah I had it for my N64, but never rememberd it on PC.

At this time, I told the kid to go home and grab some Similac, before he makes me go buy Madden from Game Stop.

DAMM kids have no ROOTS, GOT TO REMEMBER YOUR PAST!!!!!!!!!!!!

There was a football game for PC back in the DOS days, it may have even been before the 80286 came out. I can't remember the name of it but there was a big article about it in (the now defunct) Byte Magazine. Graphics were literally X's and O's. It did, however, keep stats and you could do a draft with it!

I wanted the game but it cost more than $100! I was in high school at the time and my parents said.. no way kiddo. Seems a really high price but back then a PC cost $4000-$5000!

XOR NFL Football. I used to love that game, came in a nice hard shelled box with actual bound playbooks for offense and defense. Actually, it even runs on XP. :)
