After testing and everything, it appears as those those who made Madden football 2004 don't know that Ryan Sims' last name is pronounced just like it sounds.

But no, whenever I get a sack with him, all I hear is Al Michaels say, "Simon with the sack".

Simon? C'mon. Hopfully they fix this in a future patch.

I got the game today and started a chise with my Chiefs, and I noticed that every time I made a tackle/sack with Sims.

Yikes! Try going in and editing him...see if that does anything, like manually re-type in his name....because if it doesn't work for him, then it won't work for Chris Sims of the Bucs either...hmmm

The name is spelled correctly. It is just Michaels' pronunciation of the last name that is incorrect.
