one thing that hasn't been fixed...

Franchise players ending up in the FA pool ... Ray Lewis and Michael Vick were FAs in back-to-back years.

i noticed that too.

:(

ray lewis was on FAs after year 2, and a few other guys who probably shouldn't be there. someone else simmed ahead to 2014 or something, and said that vick had played for around 4 different teams.

Their original team was probably in cap trouble, so they couldn't afford to re-sign him....like I may have to do, I have him on my team and I am already cap-strapped.:(

But yea I see what you are saying, if he does go to another team they should sign him to like a 7 year deal or something, players that good should not bounce around the league.

Guys, it is a part of football now, as long as it is not happening EVERY year, then it's not entirely out of the question. Teams are getting more and more strapped for cash with the salary cap. Although, I must admit, while it is ok for the occasionnal Hugh Douglas's to go, it just wouldn't happen that the Falcons would let go of Vick anytime soon.

I could see them letting him go after his first contract is up....they may not be able to afford his next one...sadly the is the NFL today.

I don't really see this happening a lot. The highest rated player I've seen still in the FA pool after the season starts is a 76. And he was a 12 year vet...

The FA pool bug seems to be non existant. I have simmed 10 seasons in owner mode.

its not that the contract is running out and the team isn't resigning them, but its just that the team is flat out cutting these guys...i have seen it happen a lot especially during the FA signing period, a cpu teams spends too much and has to cut soneone to make cap room...when i hit 'advance to end of FA period' and it finishes, i find that guys like that got cut by the cpu during the advance. marshall faulk just got cut in my franchise.

last year, a lot of rams ended up on FAs too, warner, bruce, holt, faulk ended up on FAs way too often.

salary cap management is not the cpu's strong point...if they include a new cap system, they need to tell the cpu how to work with it. cutting a veteran who is getting old is one thing, like jerry rice, but vick, when he's still young, is not very realistic.

I'm still not seeing that in my franchise. I'll start another franchise and see what results I get from that one.
