If you're like me you've been annoyed to death by the hall of fame players being included and signed in franchise mode. Even if you turn the controls to "user" they still sign.

I finally stopped them. What I did was control all 32 teams first, then before I start any games, I go through the teams and re-sign players with each team leaving no salary cap space. The CPU then stopped signning because there's nowhere to sign.

Yes, it takes a little time. But it's worth not seeing Y.A. Tittle in my league if you ask me.

Maybe this helps somebody

All you have to do is save a roster file without them being a part of it to start. It's easy to do with online rosters.

Tried that. Once you get to a certain gamer level they are there, period! The roster file I saved was from online, and all the hall of famers were still there.

Plus, as you unlock more of 'em with accomplishments while you're in your season, they'll be added to the free agent list in your season mode too.

I wonder if next season though, the other teams will clear cap space and sign the fricken HOFers. I'm so pissed about this. I want fricken normal rosters, not ron fricken yary.

The way to get round this is to save your profile to a memory card and your rosters to your hard drive. That way your profile doesn't get loaded automatically and HOF will not be inserted into your FA list. Trust me this REALLY works.

That hasn't been my experience. I'm at about a level 31 and haven't had any HOFers added to my season even though I've increased my gamer level many times.

When we had our early copies of the game I was trying to unlock as many HOFers as possible so I could post some videos of them here. I found that the fastest way to up your gamer level is to keep doing the 40 yard dash.

another way is to just download the updated rosters, then start your season after u load the rosters u just downloaded
