Everybody's skill level is different, what works for someone else--you may not like. Just start with the sliders all in the middle and adjust them as you go along based on how you think it should be. I don't like high scoring shootouts, so I jack the CPU's defense up as well as mine. I leave all the offensive sliders for both CPU and myself on default (+/-50). It works well for me. I also play with 10 minute quarters. The one thing I wish this game had for the 360 (other than in-game saves, which still pisses me off) is the Accelerated Play Clock.

i would aslo like to see in game save and accelerated clock in 08. but bump the sliders
