first custom

im going to try to repaint my Francis to whalers colours. mainly any good way to go about doing it? Mainly, taking the figure apart and such. The painting shouldnt be too hard

Make sure you use acrylic paints.

To break apart the figure, it works best to soak the figure in warm/hot water for 20-30 seconds approx. Then try and pull/peel the section off. Try not to pull to hard, or else you will break the peice. Aply more hot water as needed.

To start, Primering the figure with Krylon Paint really helps with the painting proccess.
Once done, work from light to dark in terms of color. This helps cover up mistakes in the process.

don't be shy to ask specific questions though. customsbyjomo gets you going well, but isn't the end all guide to customizing. Don't be shy.

One tip, if you soak the fig in hot water, make sure it's not TOO hot, or you'll destroy the visor. I've done that to a couple figures. Although making your own visors are a lot better.
