I am extremely concerned in regards to MLB 07 for the PS3. I have seen only several screen shots, which are unimpressive compared to 2K7, and zero movies.

Not to mention there hasn't been any articles released regarding hands-on experience. The game is due out in four weeks and the last game that had similar lack of media was NBA Live 07 for the 360, and we all know how that turned out.

I really want to know more about this game since the PS2 version of MLB 06 was a solid game.

I don't know, I have feeling this game is either going to get pushed back or squashed for this year.

I wouldnt be too concerned, now I dont know what Sony reasons are for not putting the game "out there" but I cant imagine Sony not putting one of the best sports games of 06 out on their new system especially when the PS3 has a lack of damn good titles anyway.

I got blasted on another site's forum for bringing this subject up. I used to donate frequently to that other site but I no longer will for getting called "asinine" by a mod. Nice way to treat a paying customer!

Back to the subject. The question is very valid. If the company I work for didn't promote and market new product, I'd be very worried about our marketing department.

I find it very odd that SCEA has not promoted this game. Do they have a marketing department? Are they short-staffed? Do they feel their product is inferior? (thus the reason for not promoting it). Their NBA game wasn't very good. Maybe they're struggling with this one and don't want to show their warts.

Has there been any other popular titles with such a noticeable lack of promotion? Strange.

There have been a few, and all have turned out to be disappointing or flat out bad. It definitely is not a good sign, and people have a right to be concerned at this point. It supposedly is one month away now so that would put it in the final stages of testing IF it isn't going to be delayed again. The marketing for the game *should* have geared up by now. Even if the game is great, I allready have bough MLB2K7 and I'm not going to buy another baseball game. I'm sure there is a lot of people that thing the same thing

I would actually consider purchasing MLB 07 for the PS3 although I have 2K7 for the 360. I enjoyed MLB 06 and feel that in regards to gameplay the series is the best on the market.

What I find concerning is that there is still a lack of new information in regards to the title.

I think my prediction from March may hold true. I think this game is toast. You can't push it back to June or July. Once July hits, NCAA Football will be released and everyone's attention turns from baseball to football....

I think the game will come out, but I have a feeling it's not going to be very good.

BTW, I wonder why that other board is so protective of SCEA? I find that very odd.

yeah, I think its easy to see why they've been hiding it. Doesnt come across well at all in the trailer. That doesnt mean the gameplay can't be good, but the visuals are very poor compared to what people would expect from a 1st party PS3 game. Chances are that the game has been delayed due more to gameplay type issues or technical difficulties, so that is something I would still be worried about.
