slow going on the download...after 30 minutes only about 40% finished. I will try to post some impressions later, if I get to mess w/ it (I have to go to work tonight & have to catch a nap at about 7PM, so...)

ya im at work myself and called my son at home and told him to dl the demo for me.i will drop some impressions as well.i am a huge fan of the series.i read on other boards guys say it is graphically top notch and gameplay is like no other.so far so good.

Quick 1st impressions. Set-up is Red Sox (you) vs the Rockies @ Fenway, 3-inning game. I only played 2 "games" & have to say WOW!! I love this game so far. Annimations are top-notch (you don't see the same repeating moves). I'm still learning how to hit, but it feels "right"...looking for pitched in zones, fighting them off if it's not there & rippin' it if it is. Had a 10 pitch at-bat where I fouled off like 4-5 pitches before grounding out on a 2-2 count. The various umpires is very cool (but can be frustrating...in a good way). I swear I threw like 3 straight pitches over the plate on the outside (according to the hitting zone), only to be called balls (ARGH!!! ). However, the next inning I was getting those same pitches called strikes. I can not say how excited I am for this game, makes the purchase of the PS3 so worth it (you called it Hustlin'...this is a system seller). March 4th can't get here soon enough, maybe it will get an early release (fingers-crossed). See you guys on the diamond!


Oh yeah the graphics are at least 100x better than last year...the ballparks look phenominal!!

This game will be the best baseball game ever. By far. The gameplay is a lot like last year's. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. They added little things that make it a lot better though. Graphics are great also. I played one game, went 8 innings before the Rockies drove in a run on me. I had at bats of 9 and 10 pitches, which were really intense. Can't wait to get this on day one, definately the game baseball fans have been waiting for.

You guys think this is better than MVP 05? That's pretty much the measuring stick for me in terms of baseball games. I don't think I've ever had more fun with a baseball game, or maybe even a sports game, than I did with MVP. If its proves to be better than that, then all I can say is WOW.

Is there a senstivity slider? I must have checked my swing over 15 times in a 3 inning game.

It seems almost identical to last years game gameplay wise. Like tdoggy said, if it ain't broke than don't fix it.

I like the crowd's involvement in the game. When Youkillis is at bat they yell "Youk" and when Holliday comes up they boo hardcore.

The graphics are amazing.

I had 7 strikeouts with Beckett and there was a cutscene showing where the fans hang the "K"s up and they all corresponded correctly to if it was a strikeout looking or swinging. I thought that was pretty sweet. Also, the bases were loaded with no outs and Varitek came out to talk to Beckett and the commentators made a good point about Varitek being a veteran and that is why he visited the mound. THought that was cool too.

I'll have to buy this game the day it comes out. Can't wait.
