Yeah I downloaded it, but damn if I can tell any difference. Reading the forums over at OS it seems like they cleaned up the little bugs like the Walk-Off stat bug and corrected a bunch of people stances and diddy's up to the plate.

Really need to release a news press to let me know what the hell really went on. Hopefully they make it a little more stat-oriented to make it to the bigs in RTTS.

Stats AA: 24hrs - 89 RBIs - 98 SBs -35 Doubles - 4 Triples - 180 hits -360+ BA

Competition Stats AAA: 4 Hrs - 27 RBIs - 27 SBs - 280 BA

All that stuff and I'm still in AA while this guy lavishes the life in AAA, one step closer to making the bigs

I thought at the title screen to Sports Connect, it says that the patch will help connection issues w/ online games. It recommends that you download the patch before playing online. Jokah & I played a game this afternoon & the lag was noticeably better. If it fixed anything else, I'm not sure what yet.

I'm not sure if this was always in it before the patch, but they have the "turn on/off auto save" feature when your starting a franchise now.

We have recently released a patch for MLB 08 The Show which resolves a handful of issues we've become aware of. In addition to correcting some issues which may not be noticeable, We've also taken the opportunity to include some enhancements to the franchise. Following are some of the top-line elements of this patch:

Resolutions:
-Walk-off HR scoring issue
-Two player bullpen issue
-Random stat issues
-Some stadium oriented collision issues

Enhancements
-Minimized gameplay exploits for online play
-More/Improved player-specific stances and animations
-Minor tuning adjustment to hitting on higher difficulties
-Minor tuning adjustment to pitching from the pitcher's view or with pitch cursor off

Finally some official word on what was fixed and whatnot. Honestly I wish more studios would take the time to listen to their respective gaming community and fix what people feel is making the game less enjoyable.

Glad to see SCEA visiting the OS forums and mingling with the group. Also the fact that they would actually take time to fix minor issues like correcting stances and animations. I hope EA is taking notes next time people complain about a freaking jersey, some pants or a damn hand towel thats missing in 09.
