Re: Back In The Swing: Cleveland Indians Franchise
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Cleveland Forgot Bats and Gloves in Chicago Seattle, WA (AP)-- The Indians were very high on themselves coming into Seattle. Appearantly they were a little too arrogant. Cleveland was completely shut down by Seattle's Horacio Ramirez (2-0). The hitter's just hit weak pop ups all game and could not find a groove. The Tribe tallied for just 3 hits, made two huge errors in the field, and basically lost all the momentum carried into this game. Jeremy Sowers (0-2) pitched for Cleveland. Besides a 3-run homer given up to Ichiro, he pitched very good. He just ran out of gas pretty quick. He had zero help from the bats today. You just can't expect to come close to winning any game when a team gets 3 hits. Off to the drawing board for the Tribe. I wouldn't be surprised if Jhonny Peralta is moved out of the lineup or traded by the time Cleveland travels down to Oakland. The quarter mark of season is coming up next. This losing has to stop soon. Next: [Cle (4-5)] Byrd (0-0) VS [Oak (8-4)] Loaiza (1-0) |

Re: Back In The Swing: Cleveland Indians Franchise
Breaking News Peralta Will Sit - Tribe Calls Up AAA Short Stop Jhonny Peralta will be replaced in the starting lineup VS Oakland. Cleveland has summoned AAA SS James Astacio to sub in for Peralta. If all goes well, Peralta may be out of a starting job and dealed before the deadline. Cleveland will also be shaking up the order. This is what we expect to see VS Oakland:

Re: Back In The Swing: Cleveland Indians Franchise
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Back To .500 - Astacio Debut Better Than Expected Oakland, CA (AP)-- Finally Cleveland's bats came alive today, at all the right times. With a 8-8 tie going into the 9th, the Tribe put together a 3 run inning for the win. Neither pitcher in the game was spectacular, but a win is a win, for Cleveland anyways. The big news of the day is James Astacio. In his first start, taking over for Jhonny Peralta, Astacio played great in the field, and actually went longball for the Tribe. Astacio will now start his second consecutive game. Like we said earlier, if he plays well, he won't be coming out and Peralta will be shipped. Next: [Tex (8-7)] Clement (1-1) VS [Cle (5-5)] Sabathia (0-2) |

What a game for the tribe. Three home-runs, Byrd looked like he had a pretty good outing as well. Bats were alive for both teams.

Re: Back In The Swing: Cleveland Indians Franchise
I'd like to see a trade. I don't think anyone has done one yet on here. Anyway good job on the win and getting back to .500.

I like the lineup change, good luck with your new SS. Is he a rookie?
