Is the gam worth buying?
I am considering buying MLB 2K7 for the 360 tommrow, is it worth it? whats the good and bad in your opinion?
I am a Redsox fan and I know about the DiceK situation in the game so that was a little dissapointing but I think it still may be fun __________________ (NFL) Jacksonville Jaguars (MLB) Boston Redsox (NHL) Los Angeles Kings (NBA) Minnesota Timberwolves (AFL) Los Angeles Avengers (NCAA) UCLA Bruins (Nascar) Tony Stewart |

Re: Is the gam worth buying?
I certainly think it is. I'd say this is the best all around baseball game I've played in a good while.
You might want to check out the impressions thread for thoughts about it, but I'll post a few of my quick pros and cons. Pros - Pitching is very involving and very rewarding. Pretty awesome pitching system, you just gotta know how to use it. (i.e - Pay attn to the tips) - Visuals, on some day games when you're pitching the game looks dangerously close to a real broadcast. Everything as far as visuals is amazing. - Presentation, just like 2K, the presentation is top notch. Pretty much what you've grown to expect from the company. There are a lot more but those are the big 3 Cons - This has rarely hurt me, but I can see how it COULD be a problem in a very few cases. Sometimes if the ball is hit to the outfield in just the right spot between outfielders, the camera focuses on the ball and you can't see your centerfield or left/right fielder, so you don't really know who you're controlling and you just have to guess who you're controlling based on where you think the ball is closer to. - You seemingly get robbed, a lot by the computer. I've probably been robbed at least once a game every game. It's cool and it adds more challenge but it's a little aggravating when you really need it. - The crowd isn't really a factor. Even in the world series, they don't get particularly pumped or anything even in crucial pitches. For the most part though, the pros are very noticeable and whatnot, and the cons either occur rarely or aren't really even a big deal. Plus I think the deal is that you'll be able to download a roster update once Dice-K plays in an official game, in order to get him "officially" on the team. |

Re: Is the gam worth buying?
is this game a must buy? yes ... but its not with out its pitfalls.. this game is a mized bag of tircks to say the least, but thats to be expected with these next -gen sports games they always have big draw backs now a days.. any way heres what you should kno b4 buying it
-con- 1) rosters are way out of date 2) fielding cam is horrible 3)fielding is tuff at times because of the momentum that they still havent fixed! 4) home runs and most gap shots are ran down by the cpu's out fielders something i have yet to counter.. 5) game is very unbalanced in terms of difficulty, very easy on pro and rookie and extremly hard on all star, and well legend is just a joke ... 6) hitting is rather simple on pro and rookie, but a big drop off when you hit all star and legend , it becomes way to hard and the fun factor is lossed 7)game needs to be played with custom sliders to even out the experience other the spu has the uppper hand not matter what! 8) BIG draw back is the inability to rob homeruns.. you hit the jump stick and you wind up hitting the wall face first! -pros- 1) graphics best in any sports game as of to date 2) animations are spot on 3) sliders HELP a ton to even out the gaming experience 4) online is good and so is 1-1 with a friend 5) stadiums look top notch 6) presentation is good but not great 7)replays during the game are nice touches 8) sound is nice but not great, in 5.1 set up it doesn't touch EA sports 9) atmosphere is getting their but not quite up to par, but good none the less overall get it you'll enojoy |
