Official Sliders Thread

For the past few days between my buddie and I with about one sleep less night thrown into the mix, have developed some great sliders i'm almost finished and they should be up within a few hours. If it means anything these are from two guys who have played baseball and i myself have played college ball..
This is the run down of whats been tweaked to make the game better:

*not these numbers were tweaked using all-star setting as our default setting

-hitting power & contact is tweaked for the AI and player

- AI Hitting is tweaked so that they play as they would in real life( i.e swing when behind take when a head) best of all they strike out as well

-in the process of fixing the out field issues with the comptuer running everything down

- Fielding has been improved to prevent the computer stealing bases at will as well as ending the amount of errors seen per game (i.e now down to about 1 error every 2 games rather then the latter which is about 2 a game)

* these are the third set of slider we have tweaked and found that these give a great sim feel*

* also note that these sliders are for those who use classic hitting and as well as the swing stick so theres no unbalance in numbers*

Hope these work for you guys.. just remeber to use *all star as your default when adjusting the sliders.. these are made for all-star level players and below.. legend sliders will be on their way soon..when making these i took into consideration alot of things so please leave some feed back and check for minor up dates through out the season .. just figured i'd give you guys and idea of how the legends sliders have been working from myself...

1) cards-yanks
4 - 3

no home runs on either team, all shots into the gap only bombs were hit by johnny damon on a hanging curve ball and pujols off the center field wall becuase i totally screwed up andy's cutter

2) yanks-astros

7 - 3

stright forward game got to their starter early and the rest was history, went deep with a-rod and jeter, berkman & lee did damage for them


3) Yanks-mets

4 - 6

this game went in to extras , lost in the 11th on a david wright double down the left field line.. other wise no homers just base hits - i did rally and get 4 runs in the 8th to tie things up, pitcher fatigue and taking pitches is the key on legend... hope these results help you guys...

do your slider help with reducing the CPU robbing HR's every freaking game? It's like Spiderman is in ever team's outfield!!

i started on legend then i moved the sliders around so that every pitch isn't on the corner, you get walks, you strike guys out, you still get rocked when you miss your location completely, the outfielders aren't ridiculously fast, you can steal bases, and the games vary from being blowouts to nailbiters. i can post my sliders here if you want but i still want to work on them a little more. the last game i played was NYM vs SF. i was the mets and was up 6-1 going into the 8. Lot of bean balls in this one so pitches were exiting left and right but mota came in and gave up 2 runs, then sanchez came in and got em out of the inning. wagner came in, got a K then beaned someone so feliciano had to come in, he was shaky but got an out, gave up 2 more runs but then after walking bonds to load the bases he struck out durham for the save in a close 6-5 game. it was awesome.

i havent had a home run robbed more than once a game, i think its something we're going to have to live with as a whole.. the only good thing in this sense is that with the legend sliders only fast out fielders will scale the wall slow ones wont .. im still wokring on that aspect of the game...
