Help on Getting Stirkeouts please

I got the game tonight and it is awsome, I played my very first game on Legend and Lost 12-4 to the Devil Rays, I was my Redsox and Pitched with Curt Schilling, it was Scoreless for two Innings but it went south later on lol

I know how to pitch and can get strikes but never Strikeouts

I didnt get 1 K in like 7 innings?

any advise? with out moving the difficulty or sliders

on an 0-2 count, give them a pitch they can't hit, there is no need to throw a pitch in the strikezone with an 0-2 count. Try to make them chase pitchs

Also, try to change up speeds and locations and set up pitchs, it actually works for me

Re: Help on Getting Stirkeouts please

Pay attenetion to the color around the pitch type that your catcher is calling.

Say you catcher calls for a fastball, and the outline around the fastball in your pitch selection is Blue, it means he is asking for a Fastball out of the strikezone, A red border means he wants you to throw it in the strike zone.

Mixing in balls and strikes is essential in this game.

hey man i had the same problems.. dont listen to these young bucks by saying move this here and that picth there, means nothing ins thise game.. out side of pro its very very difficult to stike guys out period, never mind on a consistent basis.. my advice . check out the sliders i've produced they work very good it'll give you what i think u need in strike outs.. if your a legends guy my legend sliders should be out with in the next few days

Don't know how old you are, but I'm 34 and both played and coached D-1 baseball (also coached a pitcher in college who ended up making the big-leagues). If you don't think you need to move your pitches around your stupid. That is what pitching is all about.

Or you can just make a set of sliders that allows you to throw the ball down the middle of the plate and still get strikeouts. I guess you are saying you prefer the latter.

Edit: Just realized that you are an ancient 21 years old calling people young bucks, lmao...I was hitting doubles off Brad Lidge in college when you were just making the Pee-Wee leagues young man.....

I by no means said that it wasnt at all possible its just extremly hard and is a bit off thats why the sliders are needed, my friend who did the sliders w/ me is a former game tester and said that himslef ... He initially stated the overall game was off even before i had played the game for a long time.. he showed me how the whole game was off by showing how robbing home runs are non existent and all based on dumb luck to rob homers ( diving into walls happend 15 times before he even attempted to scale the wall and nab 1) all the way to how easy it is to hit home runs in this game on all levels..

And not to mention how the momentum still needs tweaking i can go on with this game, which is my point its a video game not REAL LIFE.. so please no need to say im stupid altho i might not have been a D-1college pitcher myslef i do kno how to pitch just ask eric youngs son who played for piscataway high school in 03 -my rivial HS -who was drafted to the Rockies that summer or the countless others i've played among and against through the yrs..

I'm not going to get into a pizzing match with you over who is the more progressed baseball athlete, that's silly.

I know the game obviously needs slider tweeks, but your statement of not to listen to the young bucks who say move your pitches around to me is also wrong.

Are you actually trying to tell me that with your sliders all you will have to do is throw the ball down the middle of the plate since moving the ball around has no bearing what-so-ever in this game?

Maybe I'm just not understanding you.

oo no by no means did i mean that... its just that alot of people- not yourself- would say moves picthes regaurdless of what counts their in.. in other words just essentialy moving pitches juss to move them.. i was saying that with out these little tweaks its a very unfair game with the CPU have way to much of the upper hand.. for me even when i was following what the cathers were asking even follwoing the color scheme the computer found some way to be a consistent hitter, i knew some thing was up when i was johan and the pirates were nailing bombs .. please by all means move your pitches just be mindful that if u nail a perfect picth and the pc Blasts one off of ya its not u its the game thats needs some tweaks.. sorry for the miss understanding
