MLB Power Pros 2008
IGN: MLB Power Pros 2008 Preview
I'm glad they decided to bring this back for 2008, I was a big fan of the one that came out last year. Did anyone get a chance to play the original one last year? From the preview on IGN it looks like they kept the gameplay mechanics pretty much the same(I have no problems with it, it worked really well) and added features like a Sim mode, pitch speed variation, and you get to start your character in the minor leagues. I'll definitely be picking it up when it comes out at the end of this month. |

Re: MLB Power Pros 2008
If you still have a PS2, you can get it for 20 bucks (thats what Game Stop says). It'll give you much better value than just renting it, the last one was a really fun game to play and it also had a lot of replay value to it. The Sim mode should keep you busy for awhile, thats what I'm looking forward to most.
No one else played the original one from last year? I hope you guys aren't turned off by the cartoony characters, the game can get pretty technical. |

I just bought this game for my little brother like two days ago for his birthday.... Looks pretty cool, though I haven't played it yet.

Re: MLB Power Pros 2008
You mean you got Power Pros 2007? Power Pros 2008 comes out on the 28th and its worth getting 2008. From what I've read and seen on the trailer the biggest upgrades like the Sim mode, being able to start in the minors, and pitch speed variation are pretty nice upgrades. I'll be picking it up when it comes out in a little bit over than a week.
Tell me what you think of the game... I can't wait. |

Re: MLB Power Pros 2008
Hows the game so far? I think the first thing I noticed when I first played it was how detailed the gameplay was. Also how funny the mii-like characters resembled actual MLB characters. Whats your favorite part of the game?
2008 comes out next week on Tuesday so I'll be able to join in on the fun. |

Re: MLB Power Pros 2008
Well, I bought it without knowing really anything about it. All I knew is that it was baseball and the characters were like the mii's. I thought it would be perfect for my little brother. But it is pretty good. I didnt know every player was in the game... I thought just certain ones were and the rest were generic.

Re: MLB Power Pros 2008
Thats the good thing about being licensed with MLB, you can get the full roster and not some fake me out lookalikes. I actually liked figuring out which character was which, I gotta give them props for making them resemble the players pretty well. The stadiums are pretty sweet too. It took me no time to get playing the game but it was a while before I really mastered it. Easy enough for newbies but got enough ammo to really make it a game worth while. Have a lot of fun with the game cause its got a lot of replay value and try to get 2008 if you can, its gonna be worth it.
