To those who own both MLB2K6 and MLB06: The Show....

I've got MLB06: The Show for the PS2. I literally pulled the PS2 out of storage, dusted the old boy off just to play this game. And thank God I did, because it's a baseball fan's wet dream. It's just about perfect in every way. I've previously said that MVP '05 was the greatest sports game ever, but since I feel that MLB06 The Show is better, that's saying a whole hell of a lot.

Anyway, I obviously wouldn't mind having a next-gen baseball game. Unfortunately our only option for the 360 is MLB2K6 right now. And quite frankly, I own MLB2K5 for Xbox and after playing it - I wanted to kick someone in the mouth. It was just about the worst sports game ever created.

So my question, to those who own both games - should I even consider looking at 2K6 when The Show is so damn good? Thanks fellas.

Sega games are for suckers, unless you like AL pitchers batting in games and having 2 SS's playing infield.

The only good game sega ever created was the baseball game with Jason Giambi on it like 6 years ago.

Jason Giambi was on the cover only 2 years ago. Also SEGA hasn't developed a baseball game since the Genesis days. Blue Shift and Kush Games have. Don't throw the companies name in the dirt over games developed by someone other than them.

you can read through the MLB 2K6 thread to get a good idea of some of the impressions from people here.

Basically, if you've already got The Show theres no reason to get 2K6. It will frustrate the hell out of you. Its not like even the graphics are that much of a jump to matter, its a pretty sad effort. Now if you only had a 360, I think its decent enough (if the game doesnt freeze) to cover your baseball fix for the year.

Good stuff.

Thanks for the tips guys. I'm going to actually stay away from this series forever if Kush continues to develop.

You dumbass hick, Jason Giambi was on cover for Sega baseball game since 2000 or 2001. Sega which is 2k sports pay BS and Kush to make games moron, like how EA pays tiburon or whatever. Go do your homework first. Wait, maybe in Tennessee they dont educate people.
