So anybody got the game yet?
I hear some sites got it FRIDAY, so they can play it and then post reviews.

I have it and i like it so far. The graphics are pretty sweet and the game controls are pretty user friendly. I will know more once I get into the game a little further. So far So good.

Re: So anybody got the game yet?
While the game is truly amazing in terms of gameplay and feel, it also lacks finish.
For example, I made a catcher for my "Road to the Show" player. After I make an error, the generic player animations kick in during the cut scenes. However, my player all of a sudden doesn't have a chest protector, helmet or mask. He only keeps his shin guards. Secondly, the AI for bunting/slow rollers is way off. I've seen the catcher run out near past the pitcher's mound to field the ball when clearly the second baseman should have played the ball. A few times the ball carrier is near the base that he's throwing it to, the ball gets launched 20 feet in the air for a huge rainbow instead of simply flipping the ball underhand. So far, I really enjoy this game regardless of the glitches. I've yet to start a franchise mode but it's only because I really like the Career mode. |

Re: So anybody got the game yet?
I started a fire-balling closer for my RTTS and I've played this game for the past 6 hours! After my first season in AA with the Cubies, I was released and got a few contract offers from the Cubs, the Indians and the Yankees.
However, I did find another annoyance with this game and that's the seemingly stupid AI Manager. As a closer in AA, I was routinely put into the lineup to pitch from the 6th inning on in a game that we were down 12-4. I thought I had lost my closing job and I was coming in for some relief but then I checked the boxscore and the Manager had already used up his whole bullpen. So I had to pitch the distance no matter what! There's a ton of good stuff with this game that I haven't yet mentionned. Sometimes it's just easier to bitch about something. Especially at 4AM. |
