This week the Nextel Cup Series visits California for the Auto Club 500. Last year's winner Matt Kenseth hopes to repeat after a shaky Daytona 500 in which Kevin Harvick won. A great place to make up points if you lost any or need any. California isn't a hard place to pass on. Many eyes will be on the stars Jimmie Johnson, Dale JR, and Stewart and Busch to see if they can rebound. Many favorites to win will be Kahne, Stewart, Johnson, and Kenseth, and probably any Roush-Fenway-catier as they usually have success. Predictions are always welcome.

Qualifying was today. just for a recap, Jeff GOrdon won the pole, Kahne has the Outside pole, JR is 5th, Montoya is 9th, Brian Vickers gets Red BUll into the race, JImmie Johnson will start 23, and Michael Waltrip did not make the race. DJ used the Champions provisional to get into the race.
