What do you look for in a Nascar game? IMO, Nascar 2003 by Papyrus was the best Nascar racing game ever made. Funny thing is, it has one of the largest gaming communities out there because they are still playing the game w/ mods, updated cars and updated tracks. This is where EA is really missing it, in my opinion.

Are you looking for an arcadey, NFS-type racing game where you can pick it right up and play or are you looking for simulation-style racing a la Nascar 2003?

It really depends on your tastes. I personally like both styles of racing games, but it depends what the game is. I like arcade style racers like Burnout, but I do like simulation games like Forza or PGR. Whenever it comes to Nascar games, I want a sim.

I agree, I want a sim-style NASCAR. I hope they will do more random events w/ '08 such as engine failures, computer caused cautions, etc... I also hope it's more realistic (i.e. when you get damage at plate tracks it should be very difficult to keep up w/ the pack, not be able to race side-by-side w/ the leaders.)

Sim style all the way. I think the features EA has added over the years have been good, but the gameplay needs to be more realistic.

Sim hands down. NR2003 kicked ass. Everything made by EA from there except maybe 2005 has sucked

Definitely miss the papyrus games... NR2003 is still the best nascar game to date, but even with all the latest mods for the game, you can feel the age is there..

Too bad EA had to go ruin it and grab exclusive licensing ...

that big meanie head ea stealing all the kids toys like nr2004 that we had been hoping for before ea took the nascar rights funny thing is the best series ea had is the one they lost the rights to in MLB
