Head Coach Bob Hill commented "Drew is a solid defender how also has a nice mid-jumper and Anderson is also a great defender/rebounder and is always hustling and giving 110%.....They will both be a big part of our rebounding, expect either Drew or Anderson to be our new starting Power Forward in the opener." Starting Lineup in Game 1 against the Atlanta Hawks has been announced. Both Anderson Varejao and Drew Gooden will be starting in hopes of stepping up the Sonics rebounding. Bob Hill commented "We saw Anderson fill in for Zydrunas Ilgauskaslast year for the Cavs as a Center a couple times, we feel that he can do a good job as a Center for the Sonics as well.
