The Kings pulled away a close victory in the first game of the season by defeating the timberwolves 62-55. Many lead changes took place in this game, exchanging shots every possession until the 4th where the Kings bench kept them in it. With about 2 minutes left the starters came back in fresh off the bench and dominated from there to take the win.

The Kings travel to Chicago to take on the revamped Bulls. Bulls coming off a great season last year have only added to their talent aquiring Ben Wallace in the off-season. Brad Miller and the King's will have a tough matchup this game with Ben Wallace and the young talent surrounding him.

Re: Regaining The Throne: A King's Dynasty.

VS
70 61
Ron Artest got into some early foul trouble in this game. The Bulls dominated early in the rebound category, P.J. Brown had 6 rebounds just in the first quarter, and continued to dominate the boards throughout the half. King's were able to regain control of the game by working the perimeter. Quincy Douby played a bit in the 1st half adding 4 points and a rebound. Duhon ended the first half with a 3 quarters of a court shot.(which pissed me off lol) Bulls had the lead at the end of the 1st half 30-28, and dominated the boards with 19 total rebounds.
Turnovers came back to hurt the Bulls as they went on to turn it over 14 times. The King's came out in hte 2nd half and lit it up and took over the win. Brad Miller was the player of the game and played a huge role helping the King's take back the boards finishing with 12 rebounds. The King's took away the game with there fast breaks and wore Chicago down.
Game Stats
Mike Bibby- 2 points 1 rebounds 5 assists 1 steals
Ron Artest- 5 points 3 rebounds 2 assists 2 blocks

Re: Regaining The Throne: A King's Dynasty.

NEWS
Francisco Garcia and Quincy Douby have both suffered twisted ankles the past 2 games. Neither are very serious and are able to play on it. After Francisco Garcia's play against Bull's he is a strong option to take over at SG. The King's are scouting a 7'1 center from Syracuse and are hoping to gain his interest for next season, and to hopefully build their rebound game.

Kings defense was ready for this game, outscoring the Bucks 25-7 in the first quarter. They dominated the boards, which is a first this season but Bucks werent ready to give up just yet. They allowed the kings to score only 6 points in the second ending the first half with the score 31-20. Corlis went down late in the 4th with an ankle injury. With 20 seconds left Bucks pulled the game within 1, and Miller turned it over down low and the Bucks drove up court and put one in. The Bucks had a one point lead with 4 seconds left, Bibby took an inbound from half court drove in did a turnaround hook and it rattled in and out and the Kings, after a huge lead in the 1st quarter gave up their first loss.

The Kings home opener will be a rematch of the season opener. The King's hope to rebound from a tough loss to the Bucks. Corliss Williamson has also received a twisted ankle. He is expected to play. Not quite sure why all my injuries so far are twisted ankles lol o well.

Re: Regaining The Throne: A King's Dynasty.

VS
70 64
King's were impressive in their home opener adding 22 bench points and causing 20 turnovers. The game was close until Mike Bibby began to torch them from the perimeter putting up 19 points and adding 9 assists and 4 steals. Kevin Garnett played a strong game putting up 14 points 16 rebounds and 3 assists for the T-Wolves, but that wouldnt be enough. The King's commited only 10 turnovers in this game and may have been the key to the win. Everyone for the King's played despite a few twisted ankles.

Mike Bibby- 19 points 0 rebounds 9 assists 4 steals
Ron Artest- 11 points 5 rebounds 2 assists 1 steal

Francisco Garcia has taken over the the starting position for Kevin Martin. He will start against the Pistons. Vitaly Potapenko has been activated and Williamson, deactivated.
VS
The King's will be going up against the 2-2 Pistons in Arco Arena. Although the loss of Ben Wallace may hurt them a bit, the King's arent going to take them lightly, they are still the better team in this matchup.

Re: Regaining The Throne: A King's Dynasty.

VS
75 67
The Pistons never held a lead in this one as the King's had a great game all around. Mike Bibby had another great game putting up 23 points and adding 7 assists along side 7 steals. Chauncey Billups and Hamilton kept the Piston's going in this one but it wasnt enough to top the King's at home. Francisco Garcia showed why he should be starter with a great defensive performance. The King's improve to 4-1 and face a young talented Raptor's team.

Kings will have a tough match up in this one with the rookie Bagnani and a very talented big man in Bosh, who, since last year, has improved his jumper. The King's will let him shoot from the outside but will try to shut him down from the inside.
