Rebuilding the Sixers ... a work in progress
System: 360
Game: NBA 2k7 Philadelphia, PA: The Philadelphia Daily News has reported that the Sixers have fired GM Billy King. "This was a difficult move for us", said Sixers Owner Ed Snider. "King is a good person, and we hate to let those guys go. I wish we could find someway to keep him around, but its just not possible." "We needed to snag Duffield, he was being persued by so many teams, since he is the best option for GM out there." "He (Duffield) wanted to work for his home town team, and the team that he grew up watching." "It was the right time for both parties." Duffield was with the Miami Heat last year. He was the assistant gm, and their team won the Championship last year. After the season was over, the Heat released him so that he could get a full time GM job. "Im excited.", said Duffield. "This is were i grew up" "I love this area and i love the sixers, they are a classy orginization." "Im finally home". |

Re: Rebuilding the Sixers ... a work in progress
Interview with Bill Duffield Comcast: Congrats on your new job Bill. Duffield: Thanks Comcast: How do you like your team the way it looks now? Duffield: This team is stacked with young tallent. I think there could be some breakout years, and also rookie of the year players. Comcast: By rookie of the year, you mean Rodney Carney? Duffield: There are a couple rookies that could get a lot of playing time on this team. Comcast: Over the summer there has been speculation of trading Allan Iverson, are you going to shop him again? Duffield: I shop everyone. I don't care if your a allstar player or not, if i can get back talent, your traded, know matter who you are. Comcast: What is the status of Maurice Cheeks? Duffield: Maurice (Cheeks) has always been one of my favorite players growing up. He has a great basketball mind, and his job is secure for years to come in philly. Comcast: Chris Webber has asked to be traded, are you going to grant his wish? Duffield: Im shoping him. Comcast: Thanks for your time, good luck this season. Duffield: No problem |
