[360] - NBA 2k7 Update Available

The patch game out 2 days ago and has the following:

New animations
No more slide traveling when pump faking time after time
You can now explode out of any of the triple threat directions
Catch up logic speed fixed on fastbreak
Stamina has increased; people tire faster

Looks like they've fixed computer subbing. I played an association game last night and the computer was subbing much more realistically. Fastbreak AI is definitely improved and it seems like smaller players (i.e. Wade, AI) are able to get around in the halfcourt quicker and easier. Also, sliders don't reset in association mode.

Re: NBA 2k7 Update Available

I'm really loving this patch when it comes to online games. The increased fatigue makes people who use Kobe/T-Mac/Wade all game less effective because they'll start missing open shots and dunks after their fatigue gets too low. I'm always on Manual sub and making lineup changes constantly, so this plays right into my hands. Teams with crappy benches are also really hurting because of the change.

I played a tourney round (best of 3) against a guy using the Nets last night, and he got absolutely killed when his bench was on the floor. He'd keep up or get the lead with Carter/Kidd/RJ, but Nachbar, Robinson and those dudes were not making anything. I felt kinda bad for the guy -- gotta scout your teams though...

Also, the improvement to the fast break logic works wonders for me because I use the Nuggets almost all of the time. They should be able to run all over any team (except the Suns/Warriors) in the break, and now they can. Every time I got a steal or a long rebound, AI, JR, and Melo were out ahead of the defense, waiting for the easy layup/dunk. And as Bates mentioned, it's much more realistic in terms of speed/quickness breaking guys down with the dribble. I've been able to get Melo into the lane off of quick spin moves and the defender can't stay in front of me (which is realistic, as Melo kills people with the baseline drives)... It feels a lot better overall -- especially when driving from the top of the key... the defender was always able to stay in front of you (I'm mostly talking AI defenders or guys that play off-ball), but if you time your moves right, you can really hurt them now.

The overall pace and feel of the game has definitely improved, though it seems like the shot timing got adjusted or something (and it was already different online vs. offline)... I was releasing well as usual (65% perfect, 45% slightly early, I think), but I probably made 8 jumpers in the two games combined, which is just horrible. I need to demo it out in a non-tourney game and see if the problem's there also (I think it might've been settings-related)...

Offline, the animations were cleaned up/added to, but the fatigue needs to be adjusted if you play more than 5 minute quarters. I normally play 10, and the fatigue doesn't seem proportional -- meaning, it's the same whether playing 5 minute of 10 minute quarters, resulting in a lot of subbing. I just lowered my fatigue to about 44 and it took care of it.

Great patch overall, as you can always adjust things for your Association. It's pretty clear that this was designed to curb some of the most prevalent cheeser strategies, and it seems to have worked in my fairly limited trials. The jersey/shorts glitch is still there though, which is kinda disappointing.

I'm not seeing where I can download the this patch. Is it an automatic download, or do I have to go somewhere and download it?

Hey stumbleweed, I noticed also in that tourney that NOONE can hit a damn jumper, but it's not settings related I checked it all out.. My last game though I actually did put a couple j's through the hoop
