The lockdown defense is pretty good. I really like the touch they added with that. Sorry that this isn't the best of reviews but I shall return in a bit to give more. Forgot to add in the demo you play one four minute quarter which is good cause you can see all the changes. And KOBE is a beast in this game! __________________ Last edited by mikesa_tx : 10-02-2008 at 08:41 PM. |

Re: NBA 2k9 Demo Impressions Here
- Gameplay is very smooth
- Graphics are a tad bit better than last years. I'm happy with it. - AI Defense is way smarter than 2k8's. - Isomotion isn't used by the L Analog anymore, well on the demo it wasn't. I wonder if it's the same for 360. - Kobe is a ****ing animal, but isn't like invisible like in the past years. Defenders will steal the ball from him and block him, instead of 2k8 where it was like he had a shield around him. - You can shade the left or right of players when defending. I thought that was pretty cool. - Animations are down right sick. I see new stuff every game. - Playing with Rondo was pretty fun, I can't imagine playing with better PG's in the game right now. - I just ran up behind Odom and stole the ball from him while he was jogging up the court..lol. Hopefully that doesn't turn into cheese. -The amount of moving your teammates do on offense is amazing. __________________ ![]() ![]() Last edited by Point_Blank : 10-02-2008 at 09:33 PM. |

Re: NBA 2k9 Demo Impressions Here
isomotion is still on the left stick, but I don't think all the animations are in the demo...I know alley-oop isn't, also the six-axis isn't. But only thing I could do isomotion is spin and behind the back, and a few crossovers. Also it's broadcast cam, I'm used to 2K cam so it's hard to pull off moves.

Re: NBA 2k9 Demo Impressions Here
Yup, ally oop is in the demo...however its not as effective, for instance i tossed gasol one and he bobbled it off the backboard...also players dont typically automatically catch the ball, ive seen a couple times where the bigs have 'fumbled' it.game is more fluid then last year IMO, tons of new animations as stated...one main thing that should have been tweaked which didnt much is cherrypickin', but its whatever.
