-The Practce Gym is off the chain..nuff said.
-The ESPN integration is great..there are updated every 20 minutes.
-The players have acutal body weight...they dont slide...just about every joint has motion. EA is gonna be on top again in a couple years if they can make their presentation and animations catch up to the player models and the body weight they carry.
-The Freestyle Controls when mastered is the best between the two games. We agreed on that rather quickly.

Bonus Points for 2K7(5 points)
-The signiture style is so good....its crazy how that looks when every player has their shot..its very sexy.(until you get a close up of MANU GINOBILLi!!!)
just watching Ray Allen shoot that quick skip jumper is amazing. Ben Gordons crazy lookin jumper is fun as hell to shoot off the screen(in LIve too)
-The overall thing with the cheerleaders and the Mascot and all that other stuff is great.
-The halftime show
-Online options are very deep
-The steam line cut scenes..I cant even call then cut scenes cause the camera just zooms in and out according to whats going on. Another sexy feature

Wow, I'm going to have to check out Live this year. I didn't even play last year's version after hearing all the bad things. But I'm mostly interested in the foot-planting stuff -- that's the only thing that gets me down about 2K this year really. I'm still impressed with the way the players look (most of them anyway) on 2K -- I'm running in 1080i on my LCD and when I go in for a close-up, it's really amazing-looking. But I'll have to see Live.

Competition is paying off for both sides on the NBA and NHL end of things -- wish we could say the same about Madden and MLB (even though I pretty much hate baseball)...

once i play live i can probably get a better feel. it all comes down to gameplay for me. live can look like real life, if it doesnt play the way I like then its useless.

Yeah, I know I'll end up liking 2K better because I'm so much more comfortable with the gameplay. And it's just more my style -- I don't care for all the ridiculous dunks and stuff if the strategy and the rest of the gameplay isn't as deep. But yeah, I'll give Live a try this year -- I don't think I've bought a Live game since Super Nintendo.

exactly. its not that live is a crappy game, but if its not my style, its not my style. I dont like seeing T-mac take off from just inside the Free throw line and dunk on a center with his nuts in his face. That stuff doesn't wow me lol. If i wanted that stuff I'd play Street or NBA Jam.

i was playing pasta in 2k7 yesterday and Hinrich when up for this layup it almost looked like he was going to dunk it. I told him if he had dunked that i was going to pop out the game and never play it again.
