Re: "Work in Progress" - A Milwaukee Bucks Dynasty
Season Preview ![]() Center#6 Andrew Bogut 7'0" 245lbs We were impressed with Andrew's rookie season and look forward to seeing how much he will improve this season. In his first year he averaged 9.4 points and 7.0 rebounds per game and was named to the 2005-06 All-Rookie First Team and finished third in votes for the 2006 Rookie of the Year Award. We see a big future for Andrew here in Milwaukee and hope to build around our big man and put together a contending roster in the years to come. Andrew will be our starting center again and we will be looking to sharpen his skills this season.![]() Power Forward #31 Charlie Villanueva 6'11" 240lbs ![]() Many critics said the Raptors made a mistake picking Charlie seventh overall and we thank them here. We are happy with our decision to trade T.J. Ford for him, in his rookie season he averaged 13.0 ppg and 6.4 rpg. He was second in the voting for the 2005-2006 Rookie of the Year and was selected to the 2005-06 NBA All-Rookie First Team. Our goal for Charlie this season is the same as our other first rounder in that we just hope to see improvment and some leadership come out of him this season. Small Forward #21 Bobby Simmons 6'6" 228lbs ![]() Bobby stuggled a little bit in his first season with the team but we still have faith in what we have seen in training this offseason and this will be a make or break year for Simmons with our organization comming off an ankle injury that forced him to miss all of last season. We hope to see some of the play out of him we saw in his break out year with the Clippers and hope we can trust him with a starting position for next season. Shooting Guard #22 Michael Redd 6'6" 215lbs ![]() Michael played well in his first season under our new contract averaging 25.4 points per game and stayed healthy. Again we hope to see improvment from Redd and hope he helps mold our new and upcomming players into the puzzle pieces we are looking for. Point Guard #25 Maurice Williams 6'1" 189lbs ![]() Mo showed us that he can come up in the clutch last season and we hope he shows us more this season. We realy like what we see in this kid and we hope we can call him out starting point guard for years to come. BENCH Guards - we hope to mold one of these young guys into a key back up guard #2 Steve Blake - had a pretty good stay in Portland and has shown improvment in speed and movment this offseason. #42 Charlie Bell - he doesn't have alot of NBA experience but played some good ball overseas, has shown improvment in his free throw shooting and passing. Center #50 Dan Gadzuric - improved in his offensive and defensive rebounding this season so we have high hopes he will fill Andrew's spot when needed. Forwards - only one actual power forward this season but we have some versatility at small forward #54 Brian Skinner - this offseason he has gotten stronger and has improved a little under the boards #99 Ruben Patterson - known attitude issue, hope for the return of "Kobe Stopper" #34 David Noel - rookie season, 39th overall #23 Ersan Ilyasova - MVP of the U20 European Championship 2006 #52 Damir Markota - rookie season, inactive list |
