Im loving the new features so looks like im going with the switch this year and you guys are right - NBA 2k is the same **** over and over so this will be interesting

2k gotta better gameplay but Nba Live got better graphics , if Nba Live can step it up on gameplay then i would buy it

I think its pretty funny how people are declaring which game they are getting, when absolutely no videos have shown what 2K9 looks like. While I am impressed with what Live has to offer this year, I think its way too early to make the decision.

The recent videos look good and the previews sound good. I'm looking forward to Live 09.

But who knows because it's EA so you have to always be cautious....

I don't expect it to be perfect but if they somehow got the player and team tendencies correct and the animations are solid like I saw in the vidoes then they may very well have a great game in store for us this year.

Looks like NBA Live '09 has made some significant strides this year. You're absolutely right. If NBA Live '09 has decent gameplay, it might mean that 2K9 might have some serious competition this year, as opposed to previous years where NBA 2K games were far better than whatever NBA Live came out with.

I agree 100%, if Live plays somewhat decent this year I'm switching back.........2k has had a great run but needs to do some new things. I think 2k will play better than live but live will win most people over with new features and maybe next year Live gameplay will win all its fans back.

I just got done playing the demo of Live 09 and I am impressed with what EA has done this year. First off the open gym is awesome. Seeing KG on the court throwing down some sick dunks is awesome and seeing and hearing the talk around the gym is nice.

On to the play. The gameplay I felt is a lot better than last years. The dunk animations are better as well. All and all I feel they did a lot of good things with this year. One thing though that gets me is the score overlay and where they placed it. It gets in the way at the top in the middle, at times it covers the players that are at the top of the screen.

Hopefully that could be fixed and they could keep it in the corner somewhere. All and all I liked it.
