[360] - Playmakers MM 07 All-American Sliders
I've played on All-American and All-Conference and this is what I've put together so far with the sliders. On AA level these will be more difficult but I prefer AA over all other level's simply because I know the more time I play the better I'll get eventually but the game feels more natural on All-Conference Level beacuse the players seem to perform more according to their ratings.
I tweaked the Sliders so that their are less turnovers in the passing game which was my biggest complaint right out of the box. I'm all for momentum but it was crazy especially on AA level if your guy's lose their composure. I left the shooting ranges almost close to default so there isn't a huge change in them overall. I didn't mess with any ratings or playbooks because that's something I'm going to do specifically for my College Classic Roster File I plan to create hopefully sometime soon but only after I'm done with my NCAA Football file. Othet than that these might change as I get more games under my belt. Until then you can give them a test try and maybe they'll help you along the way to come up with your own personal base set to fit your skill level. The Camera Settings will be Optional. I will post all the settings that I've been able to play with but it will really comeS down to personal preference. I prefer to see the entire court if possible so these views are kinda like my settings for NBA Live 07. I think if you can adjust to some of the settings I posted you'll see the animations more clearly and much more smoother. For some reason the players don't move aswell when the camera's are up to close. I also only control my PG or SG on defense to help reduce fouls in the paint. BROADCAST: Pitch-8/Zoom-6/Tracking-Fast SIDELINE: Pitch-7/Zoom-0/Tracking-Fast OVERHEAD: Pitch-2/Zoom-9/Tracking-Fast CLASSIC: Pitch-8/Zoom-1/Tracking-Fast SKY BOX: Pitch-2/Zoom-9/Tracking-Fast LEVEL ALL-AMERICAN OR ALL-CONFERENCE.....(These are pretty difficult on AA) HALF MINUTES: 15...........(Seems like extended minutes will factor more into fatigue or you can edit your players fatigue ratings down 15-20 points if play shorter halfs) GLOBAL SLIDERS Game Speed: 25 FT Difficulty: 75..............(I'm a 360 NBA Live Veteran so this is perfect for my skill level) Boundary Force: 100........(This is crucial because it helps to keep the players inbounds) Injury Freq: 55 Fatigue Effect: 100 Shooting Foul Freq: 25 Reach-In Foul Freq: 25 In Air Collision Freq: 25 USER/CPU SLIDERS Steals: 25/25 Interceptions: 0/0........(This helps to smooth out the passing game) Shot Ability: 25/25 Dunk/Lay-up Blocks: 100/100....(On All-Conference your players will contest shots on their own) Freestyle Effect: 25/75 Dunk vs Layup Freq: 25/25 User On Ball Defensive Assist: 25 Fakeout Discipline: 25/25 Offensive Reb: 0/50 Defensive Reb: 100/100 Short Range Shooting: 40/40 Medium Range Shooting: 50/50 Long Range Shooting: 45/45 Dunk Percentage: 50/50 Layup Percentage: 75/75 Adjusted Shot Percentage: 25/25.......(Balances out with higher Layup Percentage slider in traffic) On Ball Physical Defense: 0/0.............(EA did a better job with the Defense in this game) Poor Release Shot Percentage: 50/25 Double Team Effect: 25/100...............(You'll need to make quicker decisions with the ball) Pro Hop Effect: 25/100 Drop Step Effect: 25/100 CPU Sub Frequency: 100 Last edited by Playmakers : 01-25-2007 at 11:30 PM. |

Re: Playmakers MM 07 All-American Sliders
Well a couple of things that I know need to be dropped is the gamespeed (I've been testing it out at the 15-20 range), Interception Slider (down to 10) and On Ball Physical Defense (down to 20) on both sides.
The Camera is going to be a personal choice because IMO the gameplay and animations seem to be best suited for a camera that is kinda backed up away from the action. This will probably not suit people who enjoy seeing the action up closer. The On ball Physical defense opens up the court better meaning it taks away that suction feeling between players. It cut's down on the bumping and makes the players move a little better since they are colliding into each other as often. This also opens up post play much better because you'll actually see guy's from the CPU team able to back down more often without going into that backdown animation and not actually getting anywhere. Weak low post defenders are the ones that it will effect the most and rightfully so because not all guy's have low strength like a Shaq or Ben Wallace type player. The CPU players will also benefit by lowering the Human Fakeout Discipline slider. Boost up their Free-Style effect and you'll see them shake their defenders on the perimeter more often which makes their animation moves look and feel a little more natural. I jacked up the fatigue Effect to 100 and so far I've set the CPU Sub Frequency slider at 100 aswell. I think the the minutes played greatly effect your players Stamina. I'm sure some of you are wondering why the players don't lose much fatigue and I actually believe it's tied more into the aamount of minutes you set your halfs up at and anything less than 15-20 minutes don't seem to effect the players much at all. I'm puzzled as to why EA didn't inlcude a Sub Frequency Slider for the human player. Now I will say this if you lower the players fatigue rating on your team then it gets much better if you plan on playing only 10-14 minute halfs. Basically your forcing your players to fatigue much quicker and it balances out with the shorter game playing time. I would definetly reccomend doing this before you start your dynasty. Run a few practice games and get a feel as to how quick your players will fatigue. I think reducing their rating by about 15-20 points will work. The shooting ranges on All-American for the CPU can be dropped a few notches. I'm still trying to find a good balance for both sides without any advantages (meaning equal sliders). The Dunk vs Layup Frequency Slider can come down also forcing players on both sides to go for a layup more often in traffic especially guy's who aren't big time dunkers to begin with. I have something else I'm working on right now that really needs to get finished before I get to involved with MM 07's gameplay. But those are some of the things that I started tweaking to bring out the gameplay a little better. Hopefully, I'll have time to put up a good solid base set soon. But remember I'm just as new to this game as most of you are since I haven't played the series in a few years. But I'm sure there are enough sliders that can be manipulated to further enhance the gameplay. Other than that I think the game is pretty good and if you like the gameplay already then tweaking the sliders will help you to enjoy it a little more. If you don't like the way the game plays chances are even with sliders it won't make you feel any different. Last edited by Playmakers : 01-20-2007 at 12:21 PM. |

I might just have to play more games and get comfortable because I've been blasted by several lower rated schools on All-American. |
