Re: SportsGamer review

Good review. I am also enjoying this game and having fun with it. And you are right that recruiting has been greatly improved by making it more focused on a smaller group of players. I also agree that the unpredictability is what makes this game fun - honestly, College Hoops has gotten somewhat predictable and has not changed much the last few years.

Personally, I am glad that this game is a January release. It is different enough from the 2k games that it fits the gap (for me) that comes between the release of the fall hoops/hockey games and the baseball games in Spring.

Re: SportsGamer review

I just went back to this game after not playing it awhile and playing NBA 07 on PS3. Why does the framerate look horrible now on this game? After playing NBA 07 which is not a perfect game at least it's framerate is amazingly smooth. this game? not so much...

Re: SportsGamer review

I've seen the scores all over the place for this game from a 6 to an 8.......but mostly it seems to be getting around a consistent 7.0-7.5

I guess it ultimatley comes down to if the game has a lasting appeal and if it's fun. I can see why many people enjoy it and I can also see how some might not like it.

I would probably give it a solid 7 based on my limited playing time with it. But it has some things that are totally awesome in it like the atmosphere and courts.

The gameplay I think is solid could be better but only if your willing to tweak it to it's full potential. It's a pretty solid 1st effort by EA and I haven't played this title in the last 2-3 years prior to this release.
