Re: dynasties
The dynasty mode is deep. Below are bullet-points that explain why. I may miss a few:
1) Recruiting -- Many options on how you want to pursue a recruit (i.e. email, send letter, send school package, etc. -- each costing points. You can also obtain information, such as stats, by selecting an option to look up recruits information on the internet, which gives you updated stats on how your recruit is doing) 2) NCAA Sanctions -- You can get penalized by the NCAA (loss of scholarships, post-season bans, ets.) if you don't discipline your players or if a booster does something illegal, with your knowledge because you will receive emails from boosters asking if you want them to supply a recruit with benefits that appear harmless. 3) Job security -- Yes, you can get fired. 4) Customizeable schedules (to a point) -- If you have a powerhouse school, most small schools will refuse to play you. 5) Training and progression -- You can train players with points you earn by achieving certain feats each game (i.e. score 20 points with a player nets you X number of points). It costs 300 points to train a player and you can choose which areas you want the player to work on. 6) Campus Challenges -- Winning a campus challenge (you will be alerted by the Athletic Director by email when one approaches) will allow you to unlock one of four facilities that will impact your team in different ways. You can upgrade these facilities with a bump in attributes to your teams. 7) National and regional TV games impact your job security -- The more you win, the more games which will be televised (it changes as the season progresses) 8) All conference tournaments 9) Preseason NIT and Maui tournaments 10) ACC / Big Ten Challenge 11) Rivalry week 12) Tournament watch -- Who is on the bubble??? 13) Tournament selection show -- I would think this is better on 2K but it is pretty sweet none the less. Hope this helped. |

Re: dynasties
Rosters aren't authentic, and the rosters are messed up compared to hoops. Also Hoops has the post season nit, the selection sunday, that looks just like it does in real life, the coaching carousel, where you can move on, stuff like that. The game is also easy, and got old to me in 3 days. Please don't pay money for a game like this, where hoops is much better. Hoops has all those things pretty much like ACC Vrs Big Ten, they just don't make it look like it's a great feature.
