[360] - Tutorial for easportsworld.com (v1.0)
(EDITED - July 17th)
I thought I would help those who wish to use easportsworld.com because they have NCAA Football 09 (doesn't work for older versions of EA games). ---- How to set up your easportsworld.com account: 1. Registrar yourself through the EA server in the game (you should know depending on your system) 2. For XBL users, when that has been completed, you will receive an email from the account that you use for your XBL (mine was on a hotmail account). I don’t know how this works for PS3 users but please update if what I’m doing isn’t the way PS3 users did 3. It will say your account has been created and you can use your email address and password to get into easportsworld.com. 4. Go to easportsworld.com and click on the “login” button with nothing in the email/password boxes 5. This will take you to another login screen in the center of the website, click on “Forgot Password?” 6. Type in your email address that was automatically created. 7. Go to that email account and find the email that talks about reseting your easportsworld.com password and follow the instructions. 8. When you have reset the password successfully, you can login to easportsworld.com 9. When you login, it should ask you about ‘personas’ and how you need to set one. It should say something about linking your account. Go to that and try to link your XBL gamertag to that account (if it didn’t already) 10. Once you make your gamertag your default persona, you should be good to go with viewing your profile, groups, video’s ect… ---- How to upload a picture/video to easportsworld.com 1. The whole reason we go to the site ![]() 2. Start up the game 3. Select My NCAA 09 4. Select My Legacy 5. Select EA Sports Highlights 6. Select a game category (Online, Dynasty, Play Now, etc...) 7. Select a picture/video and press A (or whatever button it says to UPLOAD) 8. Confirm the photo/video and let it upload to easportsworld.com 9. Also, during a game, you can go into "Instant Replay" and take pictures during that play. When you take a picture, you can save it on your HD or upload it to easportsworld.com. ----- How to add widget to My Sports World Page: 1. Just like iGoogle, you can add widgets to the “My Sports World Page” only!! 2. Click on “My Sports World Page” in the navigation on top of the page 3. You should notice when the page loads a button on the far right side that says “Add Widgets”, click it 4. You will see widgets that you can add to your “My Sports World Page” that isn’t in the profile section. I added “My Photos” and “Leaderboard” 5. When you scroll up on that widget page, press the “Complete” button where the “Widget” button was located. 6. It will take you back to the “My Sports World Page” and scroll all the way down. 7. You will see your new widgets on that page. You can move them around any where below the default widgets that can’t be removed (like My friends, My groups, etc…) ---- How to join a group in easportsworld.com 1. Login to easportsworld.com 2. Click on the Groups button in the navigation at the top 3. Click a sports you want to join (I picked NCAA 09) 4. Pick a conference (I picked the Big Ten) 5. Pick a Team (I picked Michigan) 6. There should be a button asking if you want to “Join” that group 7. After you pick a group, you should see it in your profile or my sports world page ---- Search for friends in easportsworld.com: 1. Login to easportsworld.com 2. Click on Profile in the navigation area 3. Scroll until you find the “My Friends” box and click on “Search for Friends” in that box 4.When the search box comes up, type in the friends persona name and press the search button (most persona names will be their ps3/360 tag name) 5. Search results will come in and you can view that profile or ask to be their friend. 6. Write them a message and submit it 7. Once they accept it, you will see it in your "My Friends" box in your Profile/My Sports World Page ---- How to buy items for your avatar 1. Login to easportsworld.com 2. Click on "Profile" 3. Click on "Visit Avatar Store" below the avatar 4. Click on "EASW Store" 5. Search and try on any time in the store. If you want it, click on the "Add to Cart" button to place it in your cart. 6. When you are done and want to purchase those items, click on "Cart" next to "EASW Store" 7. Click "Next" to continue 8. Press "Place Order" to buy the item 9. Once the purchase has been successful, go back to your "Locker Room" and find that item. ---- Why is my avatar on the web different then in game? Answer: That's because you can customize your avatar on different kinds of games (NCAA, Madden, etc...) to look different if you wish. Just follow the tutorial below to find out how to do it for NCAA. 1. Login to easportsworld.com 2. Click on "Profile" 3. Click on "Visit Avatar Store" below your actual avatar 4. Click on "NCAA" which should be the top most navigation of the avatar store window 5. Select the items you want your avatar to wear 6. Click "Save Avatar" 7. The items on that avatar should be on the guy in NCAA Football 09 when you login to the EA server successfully. ---- Where are my uploaded pictures? A: The pictures are on your profile but you can't just find them by a click of a button. There are two ways I have found: 1. Place the widget for the pictures on your "My Sports World" page (tutorial can be found above). 2. Click on "Profile" >> Click on 'more' button on the "Video" box >> change the url where it says "video" to "photos" 3. FYI: This should work as well if you want to view your friends pictures as well. You just need to be on his profile and click the same buttons and change the same things as above. ---- What if I have two accounts? -- TimD21's Solution: 1. Select the PROFILE tab at the top of the screen. 2. At the next page, click on the Edit link in the "My Bio" section. 3. Click the Persona List drop down and choose which Persona you want to adopt. 4. Then click SET PERSONA. -- 1. You need to figure out which account you want to keep 2. If it's an account you newly created, try removing the account by going back to your email and finding the easportsworld.com notification. On that email, it talks about "If you received this email but didn't register for an EA Account, something's gone haywire. Click here to de-activate and close this account." 3. If you don't know what the new account email is but is holding your stats, pics, etc... you might have to contact support@ea.com and explain to them what happened and see what they can do. I'm guessing it won't be a quick response but sometime might be able to help. Last edited by ruff_edgz : 07-22-2008 at 07:46 PM. |
