Coach Steve Spurrier Interview

Spurrier and co. will look to improve on the 8-5 mark from a year ago in the tough Southeastern conference.

Reporter: Coach, What is your goal for your team this year?
Spurrier: Well we definitely want to win a national championship, but who doesnt want that. I would like to see my team just go out there and compete. If they go out and compete to there fullest ability, I believe we will have great success.
Reporter: How much do you look for your seniors like Blake Mitchell, Cory Boyd, or Jasper Brinkley to have an impact on the younger guys on the team?
Spurrier: I look for it alot. I mean the younger guys are our future. They will be in the same position in 2-3 seasons so it is important to share that experience and teach all you can to help the young guys out.
