GAUDIO: "WE'RE GONNA PAINT IT BLACK"

Winston-Salem--Wake Forest Men's Basketball coach Dino Gaudio announced today that the team is going to "Paint it black" in 2007, leading to quite the confusion in the press room. Gaudio's clarification made much more sense to reporters: by "Paint it black," Gaudio was talking about the team's uniforms. Instead of the traditional white uniforms for home games, Gaudio stated that the team will be wearing all-black at home this year.

Gaudio said they're making a statement this year. "We're not taking crap from anyone this year," he said. "Two years ago this program went 27-6. I was brought in here to return this team to its glory of only a couple years ago. This is the year. The year Wake Forest takes over the ACC. We're gonna paint it black."
