Re: Eastern Michigan Dynasty
Week 5 @ ![]() Lee's pick: Eastern Michigan Kirk's pick: Vanderbilt ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 1st Quarter ----------------------------------------------------------------------- VANDY - QB#3 5 yard pass to WR#7 - (K#8 Kick) - 1:41 left VANDY - QB#3 6 yard pass to WR#7 - (K#8 Kick) - :09 left ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 2nd Quarter ----------------------------------------------------------------------- EMU - QB#8 8 yard run - (K#33 Kick) - 4:51 left VANDY - QB#3 16 yard pass to WR#88 - (K#8 Kick) - 2:09 left VANDY - K#8 24 yard FG - :31 left ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Halftime Eastern Michigan 7 Vanderbilt 24 ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 3rd Quarter ----------------------------------------------------------------------- VANDY - QB#3 6 yard pass to TE#83 - (K#8 Kick) - 2:15 left EMU - K#33 32 yard FG - :31 left EMU - CB#30 57 yard Interception return - (K#33 Kick) - :11 left ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 4th Quarter ----------------------------------------------------------------------- EMU - HB#24 23 yard run - (K#33 Kick) - 3:42 left EMU - QB#8 97 yard pass to WR#47 - (K#33 kick) - 1:49 left EMU - K#33 43 yard FG - :00 left ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Final Eastern Michigan 34 Vanderbilt 31 ----------------------------------------------------------------------- In the 1st half, I wasn't playing too smart, playing the option, and as a result, fumbling almost every drive. I got close enough for a field goal in the 1st Quarter, but Vandy basically controlled the 1st Quarter. The 2nd Quarter, I got close in the red zone, and punched in an 8 yard run by QB#8. Then again, i resorted to the option, and fumbled the rest of the half away. I thought Vanderbilt was going to win big, since they were already up 24-7 on me. ![]() MLB#44 laying out Vandy's QB late in the 2nd Quarter for a 5 yard loss. The 3rd Quarter, Vandy still controlled the game for the most part. Vandy was tearing up my defense, fooling them with option routes, making defensive players out of position. They scored a 6 yard touchdown early in the 3rd, and i about had it with Vanderbilt. I got the ball back, and went down the field and kicked a field goal. Vandy got the ball off the kick off, and the 1st play of the drive, CB#30 intercepted the ball for a touchdown. I think that that's where i got momentum in my favor going into the 4th Quarter. ![]() WR#47 stretching out a 25 yard pass from QB#8 in the 4th Quarter. The 4th Quarter of the game, I just took control of Vanderbilt's defense and the score shows it. I started out getting the ball back early in the 4th, and i ran the no huddle for the whole drive, which turned into a 23 yard touchdown run by HB#24. If that didn't tire Vandy out, their responding drive didn't develop into anything, so they punted and got me down at my 3 yard line. I picked a long pass play, I have the video for this, and just threw it to #47, and he ran it in for a 97 yard touchdown pass. I think that Vandy was desperate after that, going for long passes, instead of running the clock out and going into overtime. In result, they turned the ball over, and i ran my way down the field, wasting the rest of the clock out, and with no time left, kicked a 43 yard field goal. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- QB#13 11/27 250 yards TD INT 6 attempts 51 yards TD HB#24 9 attempts 68 yards TD 3 receptions 35 yards TE#16 3 receptions 37 yards WR#47 2 receptions 122 yards TD WR#3 reception 37 yards MLB#44 8 tackles 2 sacks LE#11 7 tackles(3 TFL) 2 sacks SS#14 5 tackles DT#83 5 tackles (4 TFL) CB#30 4 tackles INT, TD ROLB#43 4 tackles ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Last edited by Apocalypse21691 : 11-25-2008 at 11:35 AM. |

Week 6 @ ![]() 5-0______________________4-1 Lee's pick: Michigan Kirk's pick: Michigan ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 1st Quarter ----------------------------------------------------------------------- MICH - CB#35 51 yard fumble return - (K#43 Kick) - 2:55 left EMU - QB#8 8 yard run - (K#33 Kick) - :29 left ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 2nd Quarter ----------------------------------------------------------------------- MICH - SS#22 57 yard fumble return - (2PT Failed) - 3:06 left MICH - K#43 31 yard FG - 1:10 left ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Halftime Eastern Michigan 7 Michigan 16 ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 3rd Quarter ----------------------------------------------------------------------- MICH - LB#46 84 yard fumble return - (2PT Failed) - 3:03 left EMU - QB#8 44 yard pass to WR#87 - (2PT Failed) - 2:37 left EMU - FS#23 39 yard Interception return - (K#33 Kick) - 1:50 left ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 4th Quarter ----------------------------------------------------------------------- MICH - K#43 51 yard FG - 4:42 left MICH - K#43 34 yard FG - 2:06 left EMU - HB#36 79 yard kickoff return - (2PT Failed) - 1:55 left EMU - CB#31 71 yard Interception return - (2PT Good) - :10 left ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Final Eastern Michigan 34 Michigan 28 ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ![]() WR#15 skipping over a Michigan defender for one of his two catches today. This game was pretty amazing. The 1st Quarter, I was dominated for pretty much the whole quarter, but i snuck in the endzone with QB#8 to make it 7-7. Throughout the game, my RB's and WR's kept fumbling the ball, so you can see that all three of Michigan's touchdowns came off of fumble returns. I got pretty mad, and i ended up turning the ball over right before the first half ended, setting Michigan up for a 7-16 lead. ![]() QB#8 throwing the ball right before Michigans #99 batted the ball down. The 2nd Half was very weird. Once again, Michigan returned a fumble for the distance to go up 22-7. I responded with a 44 yard pass to WR#87, which pulled me to within 9 points to Michigan. On the ensuing drive for Michigan, FS#23 intercepted the ball and took it into the endzone, and i was right back in the game. Michigan kept the ball for a while, and eventually kicked a 51 yard field goal. I turned the ball over to them again, off a fumble, and they drove down the field, and got a 34 yard field goal. Off the kick off, HB#36 got the ball and returned it for a touchdown. (I have a video for this return, but i have to find out how to put it on here.) Anyways, i failed the two point conversion, and i kicked off to Michigan. They had the ball, and it seemed that they were going to run the clock out. I had one timeout left, and used it on a 2nd down play that Michigan threw an incomplete pass. On 3rd down, Michigan dropped back to pass, and it resulted in an Interception by CB#31. He got the ball, and then returned it all the way, to give me the lead with ten seconds left. Michigan got the ball off the kickoff, and threw a Hail mary, which resulted in an incompletion, and ended the game. I never would have thought i would have won against Michigan, after a couple close games against little teams in the few weeks before. ![]() QB#13 evading the rush on this 2nd down play in the 4th Quarter. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- QB#8 14/18 189 yards TD 5 attempts 20 yards TD HB#24 16 attempts 71 yards 4 receptions 35 yards TE#16 3 receptions 11 yards WR#15 2 receptions 30 yards WR#87 reception 44 yards TD FS#23 6 tackles 2 interceptions TD MLB#44 8 tackles 2 sacks CB#31 5 tackles sack, interception, TD SS#14 4 tackles ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Last edited by Apocalypse21691 : 11-25-2008 at 11:36 AM. |
