yeah this will transfer over. i have a few more updates then i can actually start his career. this will be longer than usual because i'm adding more storyline and plus he'll play baseball at the college he chooses, with me playing mvp 07 ncaa baseball.

lol, i know it's taking longer than expected but i have to balance this, the sun belt dynasty, the shamrocks, my ideas for madden 09, with college applications, school, football, summer basketball, friends, women, etc. i'm a busy man, lol.

A New Confidence

After that talk, the rest of the week went by well. The news hasn't broke out on Carmen and I being together, but that's fine. Friday night we were hosting the #1 team in the State, Byron High, and we needed a win to keep our State dreams alive.

"Fellas, huddle up over here."

My teammates looked over at me, but stayed seated.

"Listen, I'm the godd*** captain and I say get the f*** over here!"

Slowly, my teammates started to come over. When they huddled, someone made a crack about my performance against East Jackson.

"Yo Chance, you gonna tell us how much money you made by throwing the game last week?"

I looked over and saw Tim Thomas, the junior back-up quarterback laughing and smiling, and saw a few others chuckling.

"Shut the f*** up Tim, you have no clue the s*** I've been through the past 2 weeks. First off all boys, I'd like to apologize for last week, and it won't happen again. I was in no shape emotionally to play the game last week because..."

"Because your dog ran away, right Chance?"

Again Tim was laughing, but others were relucant to join him. Man did I just want to punch him in the face.

"Because my father was diagnosed with lung cancer."

Suddenly I heard someone speak up...

"Seriously Chance? Well it's alright, I'm here for you, and you guys better be too."

"Thanks Mike. Well there's only one thing left to do..."

"What's that Chance?"

"WHO ARE WE?"

"BISHOP FOLEY!"

"Geez, that sounded like a Pop Warner team yelling. WHO ARE WE?"

"BISHOP F***** FOLEY!"

"That's more like it boys, kick a** on three. One, two, three..."

"KICK A**!"

"Wow, I don't know what's gotten into Chance Kennedy, he's playing with a new confidence and it's gotten into his teammates. They are at the 50 with 52 seconds left with a chance on upsetting Byron High."

"GREEN 19, BLUE 66, HUT!"

I looked for a wideout but couldn't find one. I scrambled out of bounds after gaining 17.

"RED 32, HUT!"

The quick snap fooled their defense and I hit Mike on an out and up route. He broke a few tackles and made it to the 25 with 27 seconds left. I called our last timeout.

"Coach, what do you want?"

"Run whatever play will get us into the endzone."

I dropped back but couldn't find anybody open. I scrambled away from incoming defenders and got to the 15 with 7 seconds left.

"Okay boys, Ace Tight, waggle left."

I snapped it and did a play action fake to our back Louis Rodriguez. I scrambled left and threw it up to Mike. A defensive back and Mike came down for the ball at the same time and I layed of the ground wondering who came up with it. Suddenly Mike popped up with the ball and I heard...

"TOUCHDOWN BISHOP FOLEY! THEY HAVE UPSET BYRON HIGH!"

I couldn't believe it, and to make sure I poured a cup of Gatorade over my head to make sure I wasn't dreaming. We did it, we beat Byron. I looked over to see the entire student section storm the field. Man, what a sight...

Stats: 374 passing yards, 1 TD, 174 rushing yards, 1 TD

thanks. i'm actually into the second season with the shamrocks, but i haven't posted the playoffs yet because i need to upload some videos for it.

I'm offering you a full scholarship to play quarterback for Eastern Michigan, you could lead our teams for years to come. I read over the letter again to make sure it wasn't a joke, and then I screamed...

"F****** RIGHT!"

"Son, you know I don't like that type of language. What were you hollering about?"

"Dad, I got a school to take a chance on me as a quarterback."

"Really, who's that?"

"Eastern Michigan. They want me to go up to their campus on Thursday."

"Looks like we're making a Ypsilanti road trip."

I looked over and there was this gorgeous blonde speaking to me.

"Hi gorgeous, I'm Chance Kennedy, and I'm here on a recruiting trip."

"(giggles) It's Jessica, and his office is donw the hall and then make a right."

"Thanks Jessica."

"Oh and Chance... 536-1294."

She gave me a wink and I just smiled.

"No problem Chance, just perform like you've been."

"So how would I look on the depth chart?"

"Well we have a pretty good quarterback in Andy Schmitt. He's a junior, and should have the starters' job for the next two years. Sophomore Kyle McMahon is an alright back-upo, but you're better. You should be starting your junior or redshirt sophomore year. Hopefully we have the recruits around you to make us MAC champions when you take over the reins."

He took me out to the practice field, to Ryneurson Stadium, and other place, and when it was time to go, he asked...

"So what do you think?"

"I accept."

"Really? Wow oh thanks Chance."

"No problem, I'll sign my letter of intent on National Signing Day."
