note: After long deliberation, I decided to re-do this, mainly because I was not satisfied with the blog updates and wanted to create more storyline as well. I also have been playing MVP 07 NCAA Baseball a lot more which has gave me the idea to make my guy a two-sport campus legend. I will obviously play NCAA Football 2009 on campus legend mode and then for the baseball element in this, I will play on dynasty mode. When I get into the collegiate baseball games, whenever my guy pitches, I will play the game. I will simulate all other games then. The game that my guy pitches, I will also play his at bats, but when the rest of the team comes up, I’ll simulate, kinda like supersim of defense in campus legend as an offensive player. There shall be pictures and videos in this campus legend, and hopefully I’ll keep this up and going into a Madden superstar. Enjoy! =)

Introduction

“Shouldn’t you be a runningback or receiver?”

“Will you be able to see over your lineman’s heads?”

And so on, Chance Kennedy has heard them all.

“Sure I’m only five foot nine, but you’ll never find a player with more heart than me. See, people have been doubting the Kennedy family for years now. My mom’s been a life long diabetic and my dad hasn’t had the most successful career in business, but I’m be out to prove that I’ll be the first success story. So far I am living up to that; I have a 4.0 GPA and am a starter in two varsity sports. I started off my first year of high school as the starting quarterback for our JV team and the varsity baseball team’s second starting pitcher. Overall, I had a pretty successful season, being named Region JV MVP for football and going 8-3 as a pitcher for baseball. Right now I have been getting a lot of looks to play collegiate baseball, but because of my size, none to play collegiate football. Hopefully because I’ll be the varsity’s starting quarterback, I’ll be able to get offers. Junior year, this will be my year…”

Damn man, you're doing alot of dynasties and other things, i would stick to this and the CAP one, and if you planned on it, doing the Shamrocks chise.

haha, yeah i know i am doing a lot of things, but i believe i can balance everything out. hopefully i'll have a game or two done a week for the ncaa chises, and then for the shamrocks chise, i plan on keeping that going until madden 09 comes out.

Letdowns and Bouncebacks

I looked at the clock. Five seconds. Score here and we advance to State. Fail to score, and we go home empty handed. Coach relayed the play into me and I walk into the huddle. When I get there, my teammates look like they've s*** their pants. None of them looks confident we can pull this off, not even my best friend Mike Wilson, who was my number #1 receiver.

"Okay boys, this is it. One last chance to make State, one last chance to leave a legacy. Trips gun left, X option pass. Matt, look for me in the endzone."

Matt Allen was one of the quiet seniors on the team who you couldn't tell how he was feeling. He kept that same blank expression at all times.

"RED 92, RED 92, HUT!"

When the ball was snapped, the two inside receivers in the trips take off on slants. Matt, who was lined up as the outside man comes around on a reverse and I handed him the ball. Once he got the ball, the entire defense took off towards him.

"This play is setting up perfect," I thought.

I took off on a wheel route, hoping to get downfield and be open. As soon as I realized I was open, I looked back for the ball. But Matt hadn't thrown it yet.

"THROW THE D*** BALL MATT!"

As soon as the words leave my mouth, Matt heaves a bomb towards the endzone. I see that the ball is going to be way out in front of me, so I turn on the jets that help me run a 4.45 40. I reach my arms out in front of me when...

"INTERCEPTION MOUNT ZION! THEY WILL WIN THIS GAME AND SEND BISHOP FOLEY HOME FOR THE PLAYOFFS!"

Fast forward seven months and again, I'm about to have the biggest play of my life again. We're up 5-4 in the bottom of the 7th inning. All I need is one strike, and we become State champions. Country Day's big slugger isn't going to be frightened that I'm 1st team All-State as a pitcher or even if I totaled 2500+ yards and was 3rd team All-State in football. He's gonna jump on any pitch that I leave over the plate.

"What do you want Keith," I thought.

Keith Nelson, our senior captain, signaled for a curveball.

I winded up and threw the pitch. It looked good at first, but suddenly it hung over the plate for the batter to smear it. He swung...

...and missed.

"AND THERE IT IS, CHANCE KENNEDY HAS STRUCK HIM OUT AND THE BISHOP FOLEY VENTURES HAVE WON THE MICHIGAN STATE BASEBALL CHAMPIONSHIP!"

I threw my glove up in the air and looked at our dugout. Here comes the entire team ready for a huge dogpile. I wondered, "why don't I feel excited? Is my heart really set on winning a State football title that I can't show any emotion in any other sport? Why is my..."

Can't think anymore, the team's dogpiled on me.

okay so here's the deal.
i might be able to get an update for this later tonight, but if i don't, don't expect one for a while.
i'm leaving at 3 am for hilton head, south carolina, for vacation, and i'll be there for a week.

Opening Night

“YO CHANCE!”

“Yeah Mike?”

“You ready to kick a** tonight?”

“Hell, I’m always ready. And you know what else I’m ready for?”

“What’s that?”

“To win f****** State.”

Tonight was opening night, and we play a cupcake in Kent City. I plan on only playing a half, so I better get my stats early. There were some questions going through my mind though. With the right type of season, will some school take a chance to offer me a scholarship as a quarterback? Can we win a State championship? And why weren’t my parents here?

“Chance, snap out of it, we’re leaving the lockerroom.”

It’s go time.

“Here’s the snap, and Kennedy is running the option. He fakes the pitch and makes a juke and is off to the races. 50, 40, 30, no one’s going to catch him! TOUCHDOWN VENTURES, KENNEDY SCORES FROM 87 YARDS OUT!”

That’s how the game went. During that touchdown I started to talk smack with the safety trying to catch me.

“You’re gonna have to run faster than that if you wanna catch me motherf******! I’m f****** All-State and what are you?”

“Gonna kick you’re a** Kennedy!”

“Catch me first b****!”

“Personal foul, taunting, #15 offense.”

I laughed and looked at the scoreboard. It was still the first half and we were up by 40. That’s why Coach didn’t b**** me out.

Fast forward to the end of the game and we won 55-7. I was going to celebrate when I was suddenly pulled away…
