2008 QB PREVIEW




THE STARTER- Daniel Raudabaugh
(RS Junior; 6'4", 215 lbs.; Coppell, Texas)
Daniel Raudabaugh split time with graduate Mike Koval last year. He ended up throwing for 2431 yards after not getting the call to start until the 7th game of the season.

HIS COMPETITION- Clay Benton
(RS Freshman; 6'5", 236 lbs.; Dayton, Ohio)
Clay Benton redshirted last year to get a better feel for the offense. He was a highly touted recruit who threw for 40 touchdowns as a HS junior, but was injured his senior season.

HOLDING THE CLIPBOARD- Kyle Decker
(Senior; 6'3", 203 lbs.; Granville, Ohio)

THE RECRUIT- Zac Dysert
(Freshman; 6'3", 180 lbs.; Ada, Ohio)
Zac is ranked as a three-star prospect on Rivals, and is the 22nd rated pro-style quarterback. He threw for over 3800 yards and 31 touchdowns last year. Zac will probably be red-shirted this season and will challenge Clay Benton for the starting job after Raudabaugh leaves.

THE STARTER- Thomas Merriweather
(Sophomore; 5'10", 203 lbs.; Florissant, Missouri)
Thomas comes into the season as the starter but he'll have to fight to retain his job. He returns as the leading rusher, however, he only gained 143 yards and 4 touchdowns in limited action last year.



HIS COMPETITION- Andre Bratton
(RS Junior; 5'11", 180 lbs.; Woodbridge, Virginia)
Andre is right on Thomas's heels for the starting job this year. He suffered a season-ending knee injury last year after replacing departed senior Brandon Murphy. As a redshirt freshman, he led the team in rushing.

THE RECRUIT- Dan Green
(Freshman; 5'10", 188; Oak Park, Illinois)
Green is arguably one of the most talented freshman runningbacks to step foot on the Miami of Ohio campus. Dan is ranked as a two-star runningback on rivals, but he has a lot of potential. Don't be surprised if he ends up starting by the end of the year.

okay so here's the deal.
