Utah Utes (0-0)

Michigan Wolverines (0-0)

This is the first game of the season for both teams and both are looking for a good start. Utah comes into the game led by HB #6 (88 ovr) who is on the All-MWC First Team. Throwing the passes and leading the offense for the Utes is QB #3 (87 ovr). He is on the All-MWC 2nd Team. On the defensive side, look for ROLB #10 (87 ovr) to be lighting it up. On the other side of the ball, the Michigan Wolverines enter the season just out of the Top 25 at #27. With the departure of all their great players,such as Mike Hart, Chad Henne, and Mario Manningham, UM looks to build up the chemistry between all their new starters. One of the off. Captains is Brandon Minor (HB #4 89 ovr). He looks to have a good season opener. Their leading reciever should cause havoc (Greg Matthews 85 ovr). On the defensive stand-point Muskegon native Terrence Taylor at DT should be a problem for the Utes. He is one of three impact players on the team. But overall Michigan is the better team and should come away with the W

Week 1 Recap

Utah Utes (0-0)

Michigan Wolverines (0-0)

Recap: The Michigan Wolverines (UM lol) started off on the right foot. But the game didn't. On Utahs very first drive QB #3 hooked up with WR #84 for a 64 yard touchdown pass. The blown coverage was what caused it. Michigan struck right back in the first quarter by QB #8 (the backup, QB #15 got injured, returned though) dumping the pass off to HB #4 and he scmapered in for a 10 yard touchdown. Going into the 2nd quarter it was knotted up 7-7. Michigan struck first in the second quarter by way of a 9 yard touchdown run by HB #4. He got quite familiar with the endzone later in the game. To end the first half, K #84 nailed a 34 yard FG to give Michigan a 17-7 lead going into the break.

Michigan didn't start so well by this 65 yard TD but came through in the end

Recap 2nd Half- The second half was all Michigan. It started early in the 3rd quarter with a 1 yard touchdown run by HB #4- his 3rd of the day. Then early in the fourth quarter, HB #4 had a 45 yard touchdown run (see below) to open the game up to 31-7. With only :36 seconds to go though, Utah scored by WR #88 throwing to QB #3 for the touchdown. Yes a trick play scored a touchdown for Utah but it was too little too late. Michigan cruises through their first game 31-13.
