I really wouldn't call it an upset... Wake lost a few key pieces and Ole Miss has the pieces in place to be good...

Thanks guys - right, not a big upset, we were rated a bit higher overall and goodness knows the CPU called a terrible game.

Here's to hoping Arkansas St will be somewhat of a challenge - pregame up soon

nice two games there matt, arkansas state has a pretty decent runningback, so don't sleep on them.

Week 3 - ARKANSAS STATE @ OLE MISS

Jevan Snead has been a rock so far this season for the rebels.

Date and Time: 9/13/08, 12h30pm
Weather: 76 degrees, clear
Surface: Field Grass

Record: 2-0

Conference
: SEC (T-2nd)

Last Game: W (27-9 at Wake Forest)

Player Watch: Last week Cordera Eason and Enrique Davis torched the Demon Deacons for a combined 181-yards rushing. They will be theme of this game as well without a doubt. Not only can they run the ball, but both can catch and run as well. Jevan Snead has looked very comfortable in and out of the pocket, he makes good decisions and has a strong arm. The Red Wolves would be smart to blitz to all hell and get this QB a bit off his game.

Grades: OVR(B),OFF(B+),DEF(B+)

Coach Comments: "Strong couple of games we've had so far this season and today is going to be a test on whether or not we can keep our composure."

Injuries: None

Record: 1-1

Conference: Sun Belt (2nd)

Last Game: W (34-21 vs FCS MW)

Player Watch:
Reggie Arnold will be the main source of the Red Wolves rushing attack. But the stingy defense of the Rebels will most likely deny all hope of a running game. This will be a true test for the Red Wolves, because the Rebels are quickly catching on fire.

Grades: OVR(C-),OFF(C+),DEF(D+)

Coach Coments: "I do not believe in intimidation. But the Rebels here will have their work cut out for 'em, I guarantee you that much."

Injuries: None

Week 4 - VANDERBILT @ OLE MISS

The Rebels will certainly be looking to stop the pass in hopes of another 'W' - this one against their rivals, the Vanderbilt Commodores.

Date and Time: 9/20/08, 3h30pm
Weather: 75 degrees, awesome
Surface: Field Grass

Record: 3-0

Conference
: SEC (5th)

Last Game: W (59-10 vs Arkansas State)

Player Watch: Look for Enrique Davis and Cordera Eason to be used a whole lot more than last week. The dual-threat running back system was clutch against the Red Wolves - there's almost no stopping the Rebels if they can get these two working quickly.

Grades: OVR(B),OFF(B+),DEF(B+)

Coach Comments: "This is Rebels football at its finest, rivalry games and today, rivalry victory."

Injuries: None

Record: 2-1

Conference: SEC (9th)

Last Game: W (34-31 vs RICE)

Player Watch:
QB Nickson will not be afraid to run the ball, he is fast and agile - but also has a strong sense of awareness to throw the ball. RB Hawkins can also bust out the big plays when called upon - look for the Commodores to strike quickly, making every attempt to blindside their opponent.

Grades: OVR(C+),OFF(C+),DEF(C+)

Coach Coments: "The only thing that seems to be in favor of us is the fact that we are leading the rivalry streak - by tomorrow, they will be singing a different tune."

Injuries: None
