Re: Make your own players
MID SEASON UPDATE:
Top 10: 1. Georgia: A surprising 6-0 with nail-biters over Tennessee and Arizona State. Matt Stafford is 96-150 the year with 15 touchdowns. 2. Oklahoma: Also 6-0. A 24-16 win over Texas last week secured they're place as a title contender. HB DeMarco Murray is third in heisman race. 3. Clemson: Undefeated but played a cake schedule so far. Only real challenges come in weeks 10 and 12 when they play FSU and Virginia. 4. Kansas: Noone expected them to be undefeated this late. Expect them to lose 2 or 3 games. The last 6 teams they play are a combined 30-6. 5. BYU: Wins over Washington and UCLA are only impressive feats so far. Honestly it's hard NOT to go undefeated in the MWC. 6. LSU: Might be number one if not for a loss to Auburn. Last week they beat then #2 Florida in OT. Still no answer at QB. 7. Florida: The Tebow-Harvin combo has snagged 6 TD's already and Tebow is fourth in the heisman race. Don't count this team out because of one loss. 8. Arizona State: 5-1 because of a loss to #1 Georgia. Last week they beat #23 USC (who is 2-3) and face the Oregon schools next. 9. Wisconsin: The Nittany Lions handed them their first loss last week but this team has otherwise been solid with the great P.J. Hill leading the way. 10. Texas: A close loss to Oklahoma knocked this team down to #10. They have a tough schedule ahead but Colt McCoy (1550 17 TD's) is playing great. Heisman Watch: 1. Chase Daniel (QB Missouri): Only one interception so far. Could break a few records this year. Has a tough schedule ahead. 2. Chris Wells (HB Ohio State): Wells is the only thing keeping the stumbling Buckeyes in the BCS chase. Averaging 163 all purpose yards per game. 3. DeMarco Murray (HB Oklahoma): This dark horse candidate has the Sooners 6-0. Mediocre stats (124 ypg, 9 TD's) but his field impact has him in the chase for the heisman. 4. Tim Tebow (QB Florida): The early front runner has stumbled so far. With 6 interceptions and only 14 TD's he seems out of the race. 5. James Davis (HB Clemson): Another sleeper who has led his team to 6-0. And with the highest ypg average in the nation its no wonder Clemson is 6-0. Recruiting: Oklahoma and West Virginia are paving the roads with five and six commitments respectively. Top recruit Ethan Woy visited West Virginia last week and likes what he sees. He has them as his top school. With an offer from WVU already he may be committing before the season is over. Penn State, Michigan and Notre Dame have all offered him full-rides too and he is being lightly recruited by Ohio State. Second overall recruit Zach Myers has narrowed it down to a top three. He is looking at (in order) Michigan, Georgia and Penn State. He has scholarship offers from all three. Week 9 he visits Michigan, which is his top school, so we might expect a commit from him after that. Second rated wide receiver Kevin Fox is the only candidate who seems to be set in stone. It looks as if Fox will attend Penn State. They are his top school and the only school to offer a scholarship so far. He does visit his number two school Texas A&M but they have been quoted as saying "Kevin is a great athlete and we would love to have him at our school but he just doesn't fit into our offense. Look for updates on these three recruits. |

Re: Make your own players
It's now week 12 and some interesting things happened. Only five teams stayed in the top ten and the old #2 (Oklahoma) is now #31.
10 of the top 15 recruits committed. Western Kentucky is 7-3 and the biggest surprise is my beloved Cougars are 6-3 (5-2) with victories over USC, Oregon State and UCLA and an unexpected team is #2 in the nation. Update later tonight. I like suspense. |

Re: Make your own players
Ok. My NCAA 09 disc got scratched or something and it isn't readable or something.
But here's the week 12 update from what I remember. Zach Myers committed to Michigan. Ethan Woy committed to Penn state. And Kevin Fox has Texas A&M as his top school after his visit and a scholorship offer. But he visits Penn State week 14 so watch out. We may have our top two wide receivers lining up across each other at Penn State. Florida State takes over as the top team in college football and North Carolina is #2. They are surprisingly undefeated but still have the ACC championship. Other than that nothing was too surprising. Teams win and teams lose lol. |
