The Hurricanes contuied right off of last years Bowl Loss with a 27-0 ShutOut against probley there Biggest Rival in FSU. FSU RB Lorenzo Booker Tored up the Hurricanes D for 231 Yards a 14.4 Avg & 3 TDs on just 16 Carries & was named Player Of The Game. The Canes could not answer on Offense either as TailBack Tyrone Moss got a dismal 21 Yards on 18 Carries but Moss also led the Canes in Receiving as well 4 Recs, 24 Yards & a 6.0 Avg. Miami QB Kyle Wright had a Tough day going 13 of 24 for 118 Yards & a Interception making Hurricane Fans wonder if hes the right answer at QB?
For FSU QB Drew Weatherford Threw just 9 Passes completing 4 of them for 92 Yards in a day for FSU were there wasnt much reason to pass. SS Kenny Phillips of the Canes led the team with 6 Tackels but really had a Tough day containing Lorenzo Booker. A very Tough Loss for Hurricane fans to watch can they rebound next week against 1AA Southeast? well see!

At the end of the First Half the Game was a Defensive Battle Tied at 7 but the Hurricanes Defense caved giving up 12 points in the second half. Miami's only Touchdown came on a 52 Yards Screen Pass from QB Kyle Wright to WR Ryan Moore, Wright was 5-12 on the day for 82 Yards, 1 TD & 1 Interception. Moore led the Canes in receiving with 3 Recptions for 78 Yards a 26.0 Avg & 1 TD. Miami tried 3 Diffrent Backs on the Ground Starter Tyrone Moss (9 Att, 33 Yds, 3.6 Avg) Backup Charlie Jones (4 Att, 1 Yd, 0.2 Avg) & 3rd String RB Andrew Johnson (10 Att, 54 Yds, 5.4 Avg, & a long of 22) Johnson showed a Speed & Agility that Moss & Jones have not shown yet & could get the start next week. At times in this game Miamis #D was Dominating with 5 Sacks & a FF, DT Kareem Brown had 3 Tackels, & 2 Sack,
RE Bryan Pata had 3 Tackels, 2 Sacks & a FF in a Great showing by the Miami Defense for about the first 3 Qtrs. Despite the Loss Miami's Defense played either wise a Good game Holding SE to just 143 Yards of Total Offense (53) Rushing, & (90) passing. Miams Running Game Combinded for 88 Yards on 25 Carries & will have to be back on Track to beat #10 Louisville in Miami were RB Andrew Johnson will get the Start at RB for the Canes!
