Notre Dame-Fighting Their Way Back To The Top
My not so special ND chise will be featured here!
I am not a stats kind of guy, i write opinion articles for the school newspaper, news stories boar me so i probably will be bringing a more columnist-like approach to the season. Posting stats takes too long and is boring to do, and i am doing this for MY enjoyment and yours, so i got to have fun doing it too :D Without further ado why dont we get right into it! |

![]() #25 GT vs. #3 ND vs. ![]() completion sack by GT Quinn gets it all back and more with a long pass to someone it was great to watch.:D By the 4th Q, it was 20-7. I had a lead but GT was driving. They ended up scoring with about 3:50 to go. They ended up getting the ball back quick too. 20-14, they were driving down the field nicely. Then Ball threw one of the middle and our safety made a spinning grab to end all hopes of a GT comeback. We ran it out from there. Ball game. Notre Dame-20 Georgia Tech-14 |

#3 Notre Dame vs. #14 Michigan vs. ![]() In the first two quarters, Michigan scored once. I didnt score at all. Michigan was playing well, however, Henne threw two picks, but both times that happened my team just ended up punting and putting them farther back. Finally we scored in the 3rd q, and kept momentum with another pick. On one play we punted it down to the 15 yard line, and i think on 3rd down, Henne threw a pick, my guy returned it 12 yards for a TD! This was in the 4th. So from there i just had to hold on. Easier said then done. We got the ball back after a good defensive stand but couldnt milk enough of the clock. They got it back with about 1:30 to go. Henne led an incredible drive down the field. However, on 3rd down on our 40, the crowd got pumped and it looked like the drive might be over. Henne threw one to the right, the guy caught it for a beutiful TD. Tied up, we didnt score with 54 secs. left. OT!! We went back and forth, until we got to the point where you have to score 2 point conversions. On the first 2 point conversion try for them, i got td, i didnt get 2, but they didnt get 2 neither. then they went on 4th down got the damn td, didnt get 2, then i went got td didnt get 2. So then i go, get the TD, dont get the 2. They get the ball, get one 3rd down completion, Then get some short passes, 3rd down, big play, henne over the middle, INTERCEPTION!!!!!! THATS GONNA END IT FOLKS!!! THATS GONNA END IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!NOTRE DAME WINS!!!!! NOTRE DAME WINNS!!! THE FANS AT SOUTH BEND ARE STORMING THE FIELD!!! CHARLIE WEIS IS JUMPING FOR JOY!!! QUINN IS SPRINTING TOWARDS THE GAME WINNING INT HOLDER LINEBACKER MAURICS CRUM, NOTRE DAME DEFEATS THERE BIGGEST RIVALS, MICHIGAN, SEE YOU NEXT WEEK FOR A GREAT GAME AGAINST LSU!! OH WELL!!! THIS IS AMAZING!! WHAT A WIN!! WHAT-----A----GAME!! game score:1147 , number 1 overall SO FAR Notre Dame-40 Michigan-34 OT |

![]() #3 Notre Dame vs. #5 LSU vs. ![]() Actual booing from hardcore LSU fans after a 38-9 whipping. Booing, Every time LSU got somewhat of a defensive stop, Quinn hit them with another pass. Quinn was killer on 3rd and 20's or so, after a LSU sack. He got somethin in him that just killed LSU. For LSU, the game was depressing. By the third, they were down by 20, and players were getting into fights with Notre Dame. LSU fans got silent, or they were booing. There were few cheers for some longer runs. Notre Dame fans actually started to take over the stadium. LSU also suffered from stupid penaltys. Quinn was cleary not hiking the ball, but the same LSU Dlineman twice jumped the line. After the first 3 minutes, LSU lost everything. They fell apart. Those first 3 minutes they got a quick field goal. Then on the kickoff got a fumble recovery and scored 3 more. However, that was the key, Notre Dame had stopped them in the red zone and held them to a field goal. "Broussard was not used enough, defiantly, didnt use em enough" said a drunk disgruntled LSU fan. Although drunk, this fan was right. LSU tried to at least gain some dignity or momentum for next game, but every time they did they failed or got it picked off. "This was an impressive victory"-Lee Corso Notre Dame-38 LSU-9 |
