Playmakers NCAA 09 Alumni Rosters Final year
Ok this is my last year doing these rosters....
I probably won't post much accept for new players that will be added to each team. The goal is to get 80+ teams and this year I plan to do it because it's the last year. I'll post who the Impact, All American and Captains are for each school. But the only problem is unlike 07 you can't move guys around because in Dynasty play they show up the same posistion they were listed to start off with in the game. It's a huge problem but I hate seeing a QB being listed as a DB in dynasty mode because the damn game doesn't recognize you switched his posistion. So, I'll have to make the best available at that posistion be the Impact player or All-American. The ability to edit classes is back in so that helps Big Time. If you like to see a certain player added let me know I'll take into consideration. Here's a list of most players that will be on the school taken from the 07 file http://www.sportsgamer.com/forums/nc...i-rosters.html You can also view the 08 file as it had some new players added that were'nt on 07. __________________ Playmakers Sliders Updated as of 10/29/08 http://www.sportsgamer.com/forums/nc...9-sliders.htmlNCAA 09 http://www.sportsgamer.com/forums/pl...playbooks.htmlNBA Live 09 http://www.sportsgamer.com/forums/nb...9-sliders.htmlNBA 2K9 Currently working on Large Historic Roster File for NCAA Football 09 Last edited by Playmakers : 08-11-2008 at 04:59 PM. |

Re: Playmakers NCAA 09 Alumni Rosters Final year
On the file there will be many ratings adjusted to re-create all the players.
But over the last two years these have been the key ratings I've used to diminish some of the flaws within the game based on the default ratings of the players for NCAA 07 and 08. AWR-This is "HEAVEN" IMO....I've seen some great things over the last two years out of both versions when you increase this rating accross the boards for all posistions. This is something that a slider or patch simply can't fix (Dumb Players). It allows pocket type QB's to get rid of the ball quicker when they a sense a rush, FB's get out into the open field and actually attempt to block and Defenders do just about everything better which is going to be highly needed in in this years version. The Minimum setting on my file will once again be 60. I simply don't agree with players at all posistion being rated in the low 40's and 50's because it makes for terrible game play out of the box. QBA-Is probably going to come down the file this year because of obvious reason's. There will be a roughly 20 guys that I'll consider ELITE in this area and they will warrant a 95-99 rating most of them will probably be SR's right out of the gate. But you can expect a drop off this year for the amount of guys overall in the 90's BALL CARRIER VISION-This is one of the games most underated ratings when it comes to the RB's. They don't see the things develope very well with the low default ratings. By increasing this the last two years I've been able to get the CPU's RB's to do some great things on the field. When you combine this rating with high AWR for players like O.J. Simpson or Archie Griffin you'll be shocked at the way RB's attack you compared to the brain dead RB's on the default rosters. PURSUIT-For All players on Offense will be at 60....This rating will take away the easy points you see off of turnovers. It makes the offensive players not quit as fast on a play. It worked out great in both 07 and 08 ALL DEFENSIVE PLAYERS CATCH RATINGS-This was the best way IMO to reduce INT's in both 07 and 08. By reducing these ratings accross the boards you'll see more players getting a hand on the ball but it's not an AUTOMATIC INT. This works out even better with the INT slider in game set up properly after the edits. DB's are usually rated between 50-60. Only handful on the file will be at 65-70 and those are ELITE CB's such as Deion Sanders or Charles Woodson. LB's are usually rated between 35-45 and DL take a huge drop off between 20-25 overall PLAY RECOGNITION-This will go up accross the boards for all defenders with a minimum setting of 60. ZONE COVERAGE & MAN COVERAGE-This will go up accross the boards for DB's and LB's. FINESSE/POWER MOVE-This is another one th most underated ratings within the game. This rating brings the Defenders to life more especially on the DL. I usually get the DE's to be much more active when their engaged in a block because their Finesse moves are increased and you'll see them try to beat OL with speed and quickness more often. The power move is something you'll see more DT's rated higher at on the file than DE's. But some DE's like Reggie White will have this rating up higher than his Finesse rating because he was a powerful DE that beat you beat you on strength aswell. Vice Versa a guy like Warren Sapp is going to be rated higher in his Finesse moves at DT. --------------------------------------------------------- This is a early list of schools that most likely won't make it on the file unless some miracle happen doing this daunting task Army Arkansas St UAB Ball St Bowling Green Buffalo UCONN E.Michigan Florida Atlantic Florida International Lousiana Lafeyette Miami Ohio Noth Texas Nothern Illinois Ohio Troy U L Monroe Western Kentucky W.Michigan There's a few more that might miss the cut but those are the one's I know for sure have a 99.9% chance of missing out. I'm doing it by Conference this year and the SEC is the 1st group up. All SR's will be from 1900-1989 All JR's will be from 1990-1999 All SO's will be from 2000-2005 All FR's will be the last 3 draft classes __________________ Playmakers Sliders Updated as of 10/29/08 http://www.sportsgamer.com/forums/nc...9-sliders.htmlNCAA 09 http://www.sportsgamer.com/forums/pl...playbooks.htmlNBA Live 09 http://www.sportsgamer.com/forums/nb...9-sliders.htmlNBA 2K9 Currently working on Large Historic Roster File for NCAA Football 09 Last edited by Playmakers : 08-07-2008 at 04:30 AM. |

and I officially "LOVE THIS GAME" after seeing the early progress of the effects of what improved player ratings does for it...... I'm also in the process of clearing up the old NCAA Alumni 07 thread. I'm just going to update those teams weekly with the new rosters since that thread has all the research that was done for all schools. Going to remove any data links that are no longer working aswell and add some new stuff if needed. Once I start posting the updated teams it'll provide the page and post that you can go to see the rosters. For example it'll look like this on the Front Page of that thread for every team completed: Updated Texas Alumni 09 Roster-Page 21/Post #304 __________________ Playmakers Sliders Updated as of 10/29/08 http://www.sportsgamer.com/forums/nc...9-sliders.htmlNCAA 09 http://www.sportsgamer.com/forums/pl...playbooks.htmlNBA Live 09 http://www.sportsgamer.com/forums/nb...9-sliders.htmlNBA 2K9 Currently working on Large Historic Roster File for NCAA Football 09 Last edited by Playmakers : 08-15-2008 at 05:11 AM. |

Re: Playmakers NCAA 09 Alumni Rosters Final year
This will be the updated new look for the rosters. I've added a little more player information this year for those interested in dynasty mode once it's completed.
TEXAS ALUMNI'S IMPACT PLAYERS BOBBY LAYNE-(90-OVR, 71-SPD, 70-AGI, 70-ACC, 85-AWR, 89-THP, 89-THA) Easily one of the greatest quarterbacks ever to play for Texas, Layne was selected to four straight All-Southwest Conference teams from 1944-1947. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1967 and inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1968. Layne finished his Texas career with a school record 3,145 passing yards on 210 completions and 400 attempts. ERIC METCALF-(88/OVR, 94-SPD, 97-AGI, 97-ACC, 84-AWR, 84-CTH) YouTube - Eric Metcalf Heisman Promo KENNETH SIMS-(92-OVR, 69-SPD, 86-STR, 65-AGI, 77-ACC, 86-AWR, 85-TKL) At the University of Texas, Sims spent his freshmen year learning the basics of the tackle position. He spent his sophomore year behind Steve McMichael and Bill Acker, then became a force his junior year. He made 131 tackles, and was named an All-American. He was awarded the Lombardi Trophy, becoming the first Longhorn to do so. ALL AMERICANS EARL CMPBELL-(96-OVR, 87-SPD, 86-AGI, 88-ACC, 95-AWR, 99-BTK, 99-TRK) Campbell has an affinity for the number 4…Four times he was All Southwest running back, the first time in that conference’s history one man earned such an honor…His college career in rushing is 4,444 yards…and in his 4th year of college he captured both the Heisman Trophy and consensus All-American. Earl’s top game was in 1977, where he gained 222 yards rushing against Texas A&M. His incredible talent for rushing brought him eighteen games in which he gained 100 yards or more in his college career. CAPTAIN TOMMY NOBIS-(95-OVR, 82-SPD, 76-AGI, 85-ACC, 93-AWR, 97-TKL) Tommy Nobis is one of college football’s all-time greatest linebackers. In his tenure with the Texas Longhorns (1963-1965) he averaged nearly 20 tackles a game and, as the only sophomore starter, was an important participant on the Longhorns’ 1963 National College Football Championship team, Nobis made one of the most famous tackles in the game’s history. On fourth-and-inches, and clinging to a 21-17 lead, he led his teammates to a game saving halt of top ranked Alabama’s QB Joe Namath. Re: Playmakers NCAA 09 Alumni Rosters Final year
I haven't posted the updated SEC rosters yet....but man Alabama has some studs at the top of their depth chart at LB
They'll start Jordan in the middle flanked by DT and Biscuit. Lowe and EJ will be top two backups giving them a flat out sick nucleus. I wasn't able to Krauss on this year because they needed some youth behind those guys. DT is the Impact Player __________________ Playmakers Sliders Updated as of 10/29/08 http://www.sportsgamer.com/forums/nc...9-sliders.htmlNCAA 09 http://www.sportsgamer.com/forums/pl...playbooks.htmlNBA Live 09 http://www.sportsgamer.com/forums/nb...9-sliders.htmlNBA 2K9 Currently working on Large Historic Roster File for NCAA Football 09 |

Re: Playmakers NCAA 09 Alumni Rosters Final year
Decided to move Billy Ray Smith Jr back to OLB this year for Arkansas and make him the Impact player along with Dan Hampton and Steve Atwater.
Should be pretty nasty having 3 Impact defenders all in the Pro or College Football HOF. Alworth is still going to be their most deadly Offenisive threat but the default roster had a glitch in the player body type that wouldn't allow me to change the default Impact TE into a smaller WR body type. They'll be setup to play a 3-4 because of their DE's Hampton and Ray Lee Johnson. __________________ Playmakers Sliders Updated as of 10/29/08 http://www.sportsgamer.com/forums/nc...9-sliders.htmlNCAA 09 http://www.sportsgamer.com/forums/pl...playbooks.htmlNBA Live 09 http://www.sportsgamer.com/forums/nb...9-sliders.htmlNBA 2K9 Currently working on Large Historic Roster File for NCAA Football 09 |
