Re: Playmakers NCAA 07 Alumini Rosters

I know its not terribly important, but did you give Kevin Johnson (WR for Syracuse) decent throwing ratings? He was a back up to McNabb while they were both there and when he was on the Browns, he was always the emergency 3rd-string QB

I actually listed him 4th on the depth chart at QB. That's something I did remember to do. There's lot's of 2-way players that will be reflected in the final rosters. Like Sammy Baugh who will QB and also be the kicker for TCU.

Re: Playmakers NCAA 07 Alumini Rosters

I added Toledo's alumni roster up above but I placed HOF Emlen Tunnell (CB) on their squad instead of Iowa's because they had less talent overall.

These programs are so huge that I have to save them for last because of the over flow of talent and time it will take to assemble the best squad:

Miami
Notre Dame
Michigan
Tennessee
Texas
USC
Ohio St
UCLA
Nebraska
LSU
North Carolina

I didn't forget about them it's just going to take me longer to narrow down the players that will represent these schools. Each one of these schools by themselves can fill up 2-3 seperate squads along.

Utah St might be the most underated program I've come accross so far. They have a handful of of players that have played in some big time championship games. The Olsen brothers anchor a DL that includes ex-Broncos Kragen and Jones who played together in Denver. They lost a Super game to the Giants in 1986 and ironically WR Solomon Miller was a rookie for the Giants that year. Aldrige was a corner stone of the Packers defense in the 60's at DE, Garner played for the Bills during their Super Bowl runs at LB. The secondary has Green (Super Bowl with Cowboys) & Mackbee (Super Bowl with Vikings) two of the best to ever play the game during the 70's and SS Ocie Austin started for the Steelers in Super Bowl.

Their offense has some very underated RB's who all ran wild in college. McArthur Lane might be the best of the group but Parros enjoys the most team success in the NFL as he started at FB for those great Broncos teams led by Elway. The OL is rock solid and Connelly manned the middle for the Cowboys in the 70's and he played in a few Super Bowls under Tom Landry. Rohnde played his entire 15 year career in San Francisco at Tackle from 60-74, Hipple was solid at QB for Lions and they have two young guy's who are making noise in the NFL today with Cooley and Curtis. The Kicker Turner is a AFL legend.

Yes that is Bears Head Coach Lovie Smith and Seahawks DC Ray Rhodes teaming up in the secondary. Former Jets sack man Dennis Bryd is at DE but he had his NFL career cut short due to a neck injury. Their backfield will go back to days of the "Palomino Express" when both Gunter and Lacy each rushed for over the 1000 yd's that year (1982). They have deadly set of WR's in Largent, Pearson and Twilley and their OL is flooded with former NFL talent that includes HOF Bob St.Clair

I actually found out something very interesting after going through the Utes program. RB Fred Gehrke was actually the guy that designed the Rams football helmet back in the 40's and I didn't realize that NBC broadcaster Bob Trumpy was a pretty good TE in college at Utah and earned 3 Pro Bowl selections in the NFL with the Bengals. Then of course they have 2 way HOF legend Larry Wilson at FS.

Thanks man.

It's alot work simply because you have to do more research than it takes with regular college rosters. That plus the fact I'm doing every single team makes it a longer process than I ever expected it to be at first. But I think if your fan of college football these rosters are going to be a blast to play against some of the greatest players ever to where a college uniform. I think the very 1st thing people will notice right away once these rosters are completed is that every single team in the game is going to be stocked with enough talent that any team can be beat.

The only difference is the small school programs like Akron or Baylor will run out of talent after 1-2 years of dynasty play while most of the major programs like a Notre Dame or Michigan will be stacked with enough talent that last about 2-4 dysnasty season's. You'll also have the option to Redshirt certain guy's if your stacked at a posistion like Georgia at RB or BYU at QB.

Re: Playmakers NCAA 07 Alumini Rosters

Well here's an example of how tough it is to make cuts from some of these teams. Texas A&M is loaded at LB but I'm only carrying 8-9 on their Alumini roster. Here's a list of 13 guy's that are all deserving but atleast 4-5 of them will not make the cut......

Jack Pardee
Quinten Coryatt
Dat Nguyen
John Roper
Reggie Brown
Warrick Holdman
Johnny Holland
Keith Mitchell
Marcus Buckley
William Thomas
Billy Cannon Jr
Antonio Armstrong
Jason Glenn

That's a sick unit.
