Complete How-To how to make custom sounds in NCAA 09
How to create a custom sound for NCAA Football 09 Programs Need: (Vixy is a website but you can download the program, and Audacity is a sound editing program. both are free!)
If you are getting sound from a Youtube Video follow this.... (if you have mp3 already such as song or soundbite skip this section and move on to Audicity section) 1. Go to viy.net. 2. Paste the URL of the directly link to the Youtube Video in the empty space 3. Select MP3 audio and then start. (Pic below illustrates what you should seen on your screen) ![]() 4. Once complete follow screen directions to download MP3 to PC. How to use Audacity to create a custom sound Before doing anything be sure you extracted the Lame Mp3 plugin from the zip file. It should be one folder. Put this folder in the directory Audacity is located. Normally its C:\Program Files\Audacity. This way you have everything in one folder. 1. Once you have done this open Audacity. 2. Go to file open and open whatever mp3/wav file you want. 3. Go to the effects option and select "GVerb". Once open adjust sliders to what you see in the pics below. *note* GVerb Roomsize slider can vary with each song/sound. Test it out to whatever sounds good to you ![]() 4. Once completed go back to Effects option and select "Equalization" 5. Select EMI78 radio button as seen in the pic below then hit "OK" ![]() 6. Once complete then go to File menu and then "Export as MP3" (See below) ![]() 7. First time you do this it will ask you to find that Lame MP3 plugin. Just go to the directory you saved it in the Audacity folder and then hit OK once you've selected it. 8. Fill in whatever blanks you want for artists, title etc... 9. Save it to you PC wherever you want and you are done! How to get the song to NCAA Football I recommend you read my writeup on the feature first. Read it here. 1. Burn mp3s to a blank CD as if you were making a music CD. 2. Insert into XBOX 360 and rip music to your 360. 3. Once you've done that go to create a playlist option and put each song on its own individual playlist. This is key because if you put multiple songs on one playlist not all of them will get played. 4. Once in NCAA Football go to custom sounds menu in MY NCAA 09 menu. There just follow the directions on the screen. Your plalists should show up since you saved them on the 360. Viola! you are done! If you have any more questions post in this thread and I'll help answer them __________________ ![]() |

Re: Useful programs to make sounds
What would be a good way to get more of a "PA and crowd" effect on the songs?

Re: Useful programs to make sounds
Ok I saw your post and I messed around with audacity for about 10 minutes. I'm sure I could do better with more time but listen to the difference. Audacity doesn't have a default reverb but you can use there G-verb and we could all probably find settings we like.
Original song and sound zSHARE - i run this remix clean.mp3 Edited song and sound to add PA feel zSHARE - i run this remix clean.mp3 __________________ ![]() Interested in 5v5 League Style Play??? Re: Useful programs to make sounds
I used audacity to do that.....I just wanted to whip something together really quick. I will put together a quick tutorial one day this week, with the presets I used. And you can even go ahead and trim it down to the selection you want right there also. Or just open a file that is already the desired length and then edit if don't wanna get to fancy. I'm gonna play around with the settings until I get the sound I want. I would imagine different genre's of music may need a little tweaking, but I wouldn't mind cuz I like doing crap like that until it's perfect! Cuz right now that sounds more like the shower than the stadium...but I need to tweak the room size numbers and the echo timing.
