I mean this is crazy what the yankees are doing. Is it good for baseball whats going on? I think if MLB really wanted to make the league competitive and make the league even they'd cut about 4-8 teams from the league so that there are less teams. They could cut crappy teams like the Devil Rays, Brewers, and Tigers who are just taking up space :D

I think that it's bad for baseball what the Yankees are able to do right now. They will probably get a lot of hype and attention early on in the season but if they cruise right through to another World Series I don't think anybody is going to want to watch it.

I dont think its crazy what they are doing...They needed to fill 3rd base and they did it in a legal way. Besides Texas is paying 67 million, if anything, Rangers are crazy because A-rod only played there for like 3 seasons and Rangers will end up paying something like 140 million of his salary.

Dont hate just because Orioles and Cubs have no chance :)

Even with that lineup, I dont think Yankess will win it all because Brown will break his elbow, Vasquez is overrated and Mariano is too old.

Being a Yankees fan, you'd think I'd disagree, but I was happy with what they had. Soriano was one of my fav's on the team, now look where he is...One player isn't worth what they spent to get A-Rod. He may be a good baller, but damnit, let one of their pospects prove themselves. Also, I hate George S. Wish someone would take this team from him.

It doesn't have anything to do with the Cubs or Orioles chances. The fact is that baseball is losing morefans and more money each year because of the lack of excitement and competition. If the same team is going to be in the World Series each year then who will watch? I know I won't.
